You said this about Warren. Sounds to me like you think she can get rid of capitalism.

I don't like Biden either, but you're comparing a cold to cancer here! Perspective, folks: what matters most is getting rid of Trump.
I don’t think she can, not even Stalin, Mao or Kim were able to get rid of capitalism.
I think based on her own words and proposals she wants to try. Which is not at all the same as thinking she can.
And that being all the D’s have to offer is why they aren’t going to do well.
Wanting to regulate markets is not the same as wanting to get rid of them. We’ve seen what happens when humans are given free rein.
Not according to the polls that show Trump might not even carry Texas.
.....Eliminating private ownership of the means of production and arbitrarily limiting incomes isn't “regulation” of markets it’s full on socializing them comrade. Like it or not some 1/4 of the D’s including Warren want major parts of if not the majority of the US economy and the distribution of goods and services owned and or controlled collectively.
Yes the most advanced and prosperous civilizations in history happened.
And eventually collapsed. Appropriate regulation keeps them prosperous.
You should google “Korean peninsula at night” and see the difference between the “free reign” Korea to the south with that horrible evil capitalism and the socialist comrades to the north with their “regulated” economy.
You’re saying South Korea is unregulated? Not. And it’s “rein” not “reign.”
.....
Eliminating private property, enterprise and limiting individual sucess =/= “appropriate regulation” ......unless N. Korea of course but we tend to frown on that in the USA.
No I’m not saying it’s unregulated I’m saying it hasn’t tried to eliminate private enterprise and private property or control the distribution of goods and services the way Warren and other socialist members of the DNC advocate.
Do you support policies like Warrens “Accountable Capitalism Act” and AOC’s “New Green Deal” ?
I don't like Biden either, but you're comparing a cold to cancer here! Perspective, folks: what matters most is getting rid of Trump. So we don't want to cripple our nominee right out of the gate. (That said, I hope our nominee isn't Biden and I don't believe it will be him in the end - but let's not eat our young!)
Warren is fine but I worry about her vulnerability to attack and swiftboating. I don't like her response to the whole Pocahantas thing, it shows she can let Trump get to her.
Well hello KeithD
I wrote a rather nasty response and then rethought it. So, I edited it.
Naw, you don't have it and I doubt you'll ever get it. I looked at your profile here on the discussion board and on the story side to get a feel for you. LOL, you're no prize either but you are apparently a rather prolific writer.
I look for three things in a candidate: Truthfulness, Trustworthiness and Honesty. I don't see those qualities in any of the candidates to date and haven't in any candidate in my life time, yet I still voted. As I will this time.
I proudly served this country for over twenty years and have lost all faith, believe and trust in it. As far as opting out of my responsibilities? You don't know what I've done in the name of this country. So my responsibilities have been more than fulfilled. If I want to bitch and bellyache about it, It's my right, I fucking earned it.
So KeithD, what the fuck have you actually done for your country besides vote? Did you serve in the military? The Peace Corp? As a teacher? A first responder? Just what have you done? Why don't you surprise me?
I'd just like to extend a heartfelt "Thank You" to all the Democratic Candidates for President. It's a stark contrast between parties.
Please. Please. Please...rig the contest in favor of Warren. Just like last time...get those super-delegates behind closed doors.
The 2016 election, in which the Democratic candidate won the plurality of votes, didn't have all that much to do with the Democrats, Russia boy. As long as you sit there playing with your delusions, though, you're not doing anything damaging.
On Saturday, Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA) raised the roof at the South Carolina Democratic Convention with a call to action — and a fiery condemnation of President Donald Trump.
“And I’m going to tell you, not only am I child of parents who were active in civil rights, fighters and marchers, I also had a career as a prosecutor,” said Harris. “So let me tell you a little bit about that. I know how to take on predators. I took on the big banks and won over $20 billion. I took on for-profit colleges and put them out of business. I took on oil companies who were polluting our environments. I took on transnational criminal organizations who were preying on women and children. I know how to get that job done. And I did it for the people. For the people.”
“So let me tell you, we need somebody on our stage, when it comes time for that general election, who knows how to recognize a rap sheet when they see it and prosecute the case,” said Harris. So let’s read that rap sheet, shall we?”
One of the 2020 contenders auditioning at the South Carolina Democratic Party Convention, Rep. Tim Ryan (D-OH), went after Graham during the short time allocated for his speech.
“I’m so tired as a Democrat of playing defense,” Ryan said. “I’m an old quarterback, I want to start playing offense. All of us are going to start playing offense.”
“I want us to play offense in the Senate races. I want to go to Iowa and win that Senate seat. I want to go to Missouri and win a Senate seat. I want to win Senate seats in Florida, North Carolina, but most importantly, I want to make sure that I can be the nominee that comes back to South Carolina and helps the Senate candidate here send Lindsey Graham packing,” Ryan closed, to massive cheers from the crowd.
No as to AOC or her agenda. Some of Warren’s Act has merit, such as requiring some shareholder support for political donations.
It seems she wants good corporate governance, not to abolish capitalism as you claim.
As you see no shades of gray when discussing these matters I’ll likely take a pass from now on. I was part of the corporate world for many years, and none of it is all good or all bad. Looking for ways to improve the way things operate is not a bad thing, and it’s not anti-capitalist. And leaving markets free to regulate themselves is downright stupid.
Biden said he would repeal the Trump Tax Giveaway aka Socialism for the Rich "on Day One."
Behind Elizabeth Warren’s trust-busting, Wall Street-bashing, tax-the-wealthy platform is a brain trust that extends well beyond the Beltway thinkers who often rubber stamp campaign proposals.
Instead, the former Harvard professor and her tight team of policy advisers have waded deeper into the world of academia than is usual in presidential campaigns, according to interviews with more than a dozen people her campaign has consulted and a review of the scholarship underlying her plans.
