Democratic Primary Fucktussle!

I was hoping Warren would land on the same night as Biden, so she could provide a more direct contrast to him. But at least she has the chance to really shine on her own on the first night.

There will be up to a dozen debates in the next ten months. She will meet Biden soon enough.

It will be very interesting to see how the MSM evaluates the candidates and how the major news outlets shape perceptions!

It will also be interesting to see how the candidates conduct themselves as the field narrows down this summer. I imagine by September we will be down to five or six, which ones will be left standing?

These may be the 'Interesting Times' mentioned in the curse.:)

Everyone but FOX will adore and praise the most radically left candidate....the more "Fuck white people and socialism is how we do it!!!" the better.

Fox will try to present it as something to compromise with...their talking heads will condemn it outright.

Warren, Harris, Biden, Sanders and Bootijucie are going to go be the final five.

I hope Warren or Harris win the nod and hopefully they combine one way or the other as a single ticket.

Can at least half the 2020 Democrats please quit right now?

Well that didn't take long.

OK, Democrats — you’ve had your fun. You grew up being told that everybody could run for president, and then everybody did. Except that this mad anthill scramble of presidential candidates, which resembles a bunch of kindergarteners descending on not enough cookies, really hasn’t been fun so far. All you’ve managed to do is put the fear of God — or the fear of the other guy, more like — into the voters, provoking widespread PTSD flashbacks to November 2016.

This article first appeared in Salon.

Jeeez, Salon is already ready to toss half of them off the island and they haven't even embarrassed themselves (too much) yet?:)

My choice for the 2020 elections, Republican or Democrat.....

N. O. T. A. aka, NONE OF THE ABOVE!

Socialism! Really?

Free stuff ain't free.
Free countries become a different animal under socialism.
Venezuala, Cuba, China, Russia
Cambodia,
Do we want this?, unfortunatley so many do.
I'm old, so I won't see the results of
a socialist gov., but I pity those who unknowinly do choose it, much to their doom

I doubt you're much of a prize either.

Just a "mememememe" bellyacher.

Ahhh KeithD,

I am definitely no prize!

And I no longer give a shit. I've voted in every election since I was twenty-one and it just gets worse. Therefore my choice for this election is N.O.T.A. Simple as that.

And then you'll just stop bitching, right? Because you opted out of any responsibility. Got it.

Well hello KeithD

I wrote a rather nasty response and then rethought it. So, I edited it.

Naw, you don't have it and I doubt you'll ever get it. I looked at your profile here on the discussion board and on the story side to get a feel for you. LOL, you're no prize either but you are apparently a rather prolific writer.

I look for three things in a candidate: Truthfulness, Trustworthiness and Honesty. I don't see those qualities in any of the candidates to date and haven't in any candidate in my life time, yet I still voted. As I will this time.

I proudly served this country for over twenty years and have lost all faith, believe and trust in it. As far as opting out of my responsibilities? You don't know what I've done in the name of this country. So my responsibilities have been more than fulfilled. If I want to bitch and bellyache about it, It's my right, I fucking earned it.

So KeithD, what the fuck have you actually done for your country besides vote? Did you serve in the military? The Peace Corp? As a teacher? A first responder? Just what have you done? Why don't you surprise me?

Gentlemen, and I'm using the term loosely, please limit yourselves to a discussion of the Democratic Fucktussle. otherwise your just making Dumpinton look 'normal'.

The fact that all Politicians lie and few are worth a bucket of warm piss is a forgone conclusion. However, making disparaging remarks about each other just displays the worthlessness of the fixed mind.

Thank you, in advance for your cooperation.:)

Hey JackLuis,

Gotcha. :D

I view Liz Warren as an even bigger train-wreck than Joe Biden! I sincerely hope she wins the 2020 Democratic Party presidential nomination!

I think they'll begin dropping-out like flies before the end of July, Jack! You KNOW that most of them are already running out of campaign cash!

BotanyBoy writes: "Everyone but FOX will adore and praise the most radically left candidate... the more "Fuck white people and socialism is how we do it!!!" the better."

You have just accurately described the entire Democratic Party of this modern age, BotanyBoy! They have gone over the edge, just like they did fifty-years ago. President Trump couldn't have orchestrated it better if he'd purchased that party from George Soros himself!

JackLuis's Salon article states: "OK, Democrats — you’ve had your fun. You grew up being told that everybody could run for president, and then everybody did. Salon NAILED IT, Jack!

KUJACK writes: "Free stuff ain't free."

The Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez wing of the modern Democratic Party doesn't understand basic everyday economics, KUJACK - and they still don't understand why all of those central American migrants are trying to sneak into Trump's America instead of fleeing instead to Nicolas Maduro's Venezuela, where socialism reigns supreme!

Yes, Jack - and thank you for that pleasant shout-out! You KNOW how much I love the recognition!

Who’s leading the Wall Street primary? Looks like Biden, Harris and Buttigieg

Having already determined that two of the top contenders for the Democratic presidential nomination — Sens. Elizabeth Warren and Bernie Sanders — are unacceptable and must be stopped at all costs, Wall Street financiers have reportedly begun to narrow down their list of 2020 favorites as candidates’ fundraising efforts reach a “fevered peak” ahead of the June filing deadline.

As the New York Times reported on Sunday, “three candidates are generating most of the buzz” among powerful Wall Street donors: South Bend, Indiana, Mayor Pete Buttigieg, former Vice President Joe Biden, and Sen. Kamala Harris, D-Calif.

“Two candidates in the top tier of polls, Mr. Sanders and Senator Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts, have railed against the financial industry,” the Times reported, “and opted against the kind of fancy fundraisers with catering and $2,800 admission prices that lubricate the donor industry.”

“It can’t be Warren and it can’t be Sanders,” the CEO of a big bank anonymously told Politico.

Wall Street wants prosperity, which is why the business community wants four more years of President Trump! Neither Kamala nor Buttigieg are strong enough to stop Joe Biden from winning the Democratic Party's presidential nomination (as "Gropin' Joe" holds all the levers of power), but Biden remains a TERRIBLE candidate (the same as he was in both '88 & '08), which is why he won't stand a chance in 2020 against President Trump!

Deep down, many in the Democratic Party desperately want one of the other candidates to rise up and topple Joe, but they're all such a collection of far-left LOSERS that this really isn't possible. Their party is STUCK with him, just as the Dems in 1984 got stuck with former V.P. Walter Mondale.

Really looking forward to the debate, although I don't know how much can possibly get done with 20 people.

I remember back in 1992 tuning into the first D Debate not knowing who anyone was, except maybe a few well known names. It was the first I'd heard of Bill Clinton. He stuck out, big time. I thought he was very charismatic, beyond cheesy, and I also thought "He's going to be President."

For a majority of people they will know Biden and Sanders--Warren less so. They'll have heard of Harris, Beto and Buttigieg, but may not have a clue who they are.

It will be interesting to see what kind of impression they all give off.

So KeithD, what the fuck have you actually done for your country besides vote? Did you serve in the military? The Peace Corp? As a teacher? A first responder? Just what have you done? Why don't you surprise me?

I'm pretty sure I did more than you did, and I'm also not the one backing an administration which is trying to destroy the rule of law and anything else of the foundations of the U.S. system they can get to. So, you can sit on it and spin with the rest of the traitors.

The Democratic Party's presidential debates promise to be a Trump-hating festival, with every candidate trying to out-do all of the others in expressing his-or-her hatred for our president. After that, they'll each be attempting to promise to give-away more federal government entitlements than all of the other candidates!

Round-one will be on Wednesday, June 26th - with Liz Warren facing off against Cory Booker, Beto, and seven nobodies!

The next night, June 27th, will feature Bernie & Biden on stage with Kamala, Buttigieg, and six complete nobodies!

Four other candidates were deemed so inconsequential that they won't be appearing on stage either night!

Let's slow down, breathe deeply, and reach for the dictionary

I'm pretty sure I did more than you did...

Okay, let's begin with stating that I'm not affiliated with either major party, and as an ex-Marine who went places and did things that this country is still too ashamed to cop to, I've paid my dues in ways that give me the creds to put my $.02-worth out here.
In spite of this, I still vote, write letters and make phone calls, because if you live in a (alleged) democracy and you don't do these things, then you don't deserve the life you enjoy here. And never, ever, call yourself a patriot. It's BY the people, remember? And when it's not ... well you get exactly what you deserve; which is, sadly, what you have right now.
Now with that stated, I'll say to KD that, no, I'm sorry son, but you don't get to base any argument on a lame retort that begins with something so vague as "I'm pretty sure that I did more than you did." That just won't suffice, and you should know that.
Just exactly WHAT have you done, and what do you continue to do, when your country needs thought and action so badly?
Whether or not we may agree with him, the other man made his case in this regard, but you've not said anything so far. And until you do, well....
And please, do you actually know the definition of the term 'traitor'? I'm afraid it gets tossed around about as often as the term 'socialism', which sadly enough, only a pathetic number of people in this country can accurately define either, though they won't hesitate to flip it around with great sincerity at a moment's notice.
Now about the general substance of the subject here, I'm not a solid Joe Biden fan, but from a purely practical standpoint, he's about as clean as any candidate we've seen in a lot of years, and equally importantly, after all his years in Washington, he's got his pockets stuffed with chits to call in when needed, and he knows where the bodies are buried, with all these things combining to make him a huge and immeasurably valuable force for the Ds. The Ds need to forget about fresh-faced juniors and women who simply cannot win the top spot, no matter how badly we might like to see it just now. Most definitely a VP slot, but I just don't believe anything else is a reality this time.
If you're thinking about Warren, I'd suggest you read her books. By her own admission, she has repeatedly folded when confronted by heavyweights, and gone running back to the safety and comfort of academia and a home in the suburbs.
I like Harris, but next to Biden's experience, long history of fighting for the right things and her lack of off-the-cuff speaking skills, she's not ready.
I'd love to see Bernie win, but an ignorant and apathetic electorate that stampedes at every sounding of the word socialism will never wake up and make it happen, even when it's attached to the adjective 'democratic'.
Even with the polls showing Biden as the runaway front-runner, the Ds and the media are doing their best to stop the guy in his tracks. The former has formed a circular firing squad around him (their favorite formation), and the media is nattering away at essentially nothing - such as CNN's long segment on how many times he used the word "folks" in a speech he gave. Really?? Folks?? That's what you've got? Does this not, in spite of any vestige of substance, speak volumes? What is it that they're really afraid of?
So there are a couple of my own opinions and questions. What are yours? More importantly, get out there and make your case and ask your questions in public! Insist on answers to the questions you've asked, and keep asking until you get them. Raise hell! It's your right, and more importantly, your duty.

LMAO

Trump's still running against Hillary Clinton. You're complaining about people being anti-Trump while he's STILL leading Lock Her Up chants?

Typical Trumptard.

The Democratic Party's presidential debates promise to be a Trump-hating festival, with every candidate trying to out-do all of the others in expressing his-or-her hatred for our president. Bullshit. This is the anonymous Internet. There's nothing to be gained by trying to compare credentials here or to challenge others to do so. I wasn't challenging anyone to do so, and, that said, I am quite confident that my answer is correct--and I really don't give a shit whether you believe that or not. I wasn't making any "show me yours" challenges.

On the basic issue, Donald Trump is showing his treason, corruption, criminality, and attempt to tear down the rule of law as well as human decency by everything he does and says, and if you can't see it, you're as bad as he is. I don't need credentials of any sort to see the obvious.

So, take a hike--I didn't bother to read the rest of your post. I don't owe you a damn thing.
