We are circling the drain. This country and the world. But dream on.
We're doomed! DOOMED!
Wait, no we aren't, you're just an idiot.

We are circling the drain. This country and the world. But dream on.
What specifically makes you say that?
We're doomed! DOOMED!
Wait, no we aren't, you're just an idiot.
Where do I start? Try being a single mom with only a high school education, holding down two jobs trying to raise your two kids and three of your sister's kids, working night and day, dog tired with no way to improve your situation. There are millions of Americans in this bad a situation, or worse. At least hundreds of millions of people worldwide, maybe more than a billion, in even worse situations.
I could go on about a lot of things, but it would be pointless.
If that's just your way of asking if I think he's onto something, yes, I think he is. And that one time he missed probably wasn't really a miss.
At what point in history was being a single Mom ever a thing that was going to work out for you? Tell me the point in history when this woman would have been even where she is now instead of essentially forced to marry?
When it looks like we're circling the drain, maybe it's you.
Last night at about three AM I couldn't sleep and felt a little hungry so decided to go get something to eat at a restaurant. I was the only customer in the place so the waitress sat down to talk with me while I ate. I've talked with her before some, but don't really know her. I know she is a single mom raising two kids of her own and three of her sister's kids as well. She has two jobs. I don't know what her other job is.
Ordinarily, I would never do this in the real world, but I discussed last night's political results with her. It was interesting to see how much she knew about politics, and how much she didn't know.
This country is in a hell of a mess, and people don't know what the fuck to do about it.
At what point in history have we had more single moms than now?
That's why I want the Trump train wreck. The entire political system might derail and they'll finally have to fix it.
Order out of chaos.
I'm guessing that just after the two world wars.
who are THEY?
At what point in history have we had more single moms than now?
You'd be wrong.
I can find no reliable numbers, I'll assume your correct and that it's higher now than previously. That's one thing.
Really? You can find numbers at all cus I can't imagine that the thousands of widows following those to conflicts didn't put a major bump in the numbers. And again part of this problem is that women are independent now. Once upon a time that was just time to get married no more choice in the matter.

Good luck getting him to actually back up his assertions, any of them.
Whoever's left standing in the debris.

It's perfectly obvious women are much more likely now to have children out of wedlock than in previous generations, but even if that weren't true the population of the country, and of the world, dwarfs what it was in 1919 or 1945.
There's really no point in discussing this shit here. It's a waste of time.
The idea that the country is in a helluva mess is mostly media hype. That aside most people simply don't have the time or energy to dedicate to any sort of real research on most political issues.
Ah, the well known Ishmael method.
