I thought I'd weigh in on this too.

All of us are different. Men vary in size, shape, etc. as do women. Each of us has our own hangups about our bodies, as well as things we celebrate. Some of us prefer natural, some of us prefer to alter our bodies to fit our own definition of beauty.

I have not had any cosmetic surgeries, however, I do have my nipples and my hood pierced. When asked why, the reason is simple, I did it for myself. I enjoy the piercings, they feel good to me, so that's why I have them.

As for what I look like in regards to other women "down there," I know I'm different, but the same. We all have the same parts, we're just constructed slightly different. I'm fine with it, and I've never received a complaint in regards to my womanhood. I'm not going to post a picture though.

How many of you ladies have ever ejaculated when you orgasm?

Interesting article - however, the one thing that bothered me is the small number of participants in the case study. 50, 70 women is not enough to even get an idea.

I was, though, under the impression that female ejaculate is not necessarily urine as it is created in the prostate?

It's not just porn - open up any fashion magazines, where the majority of the editorial board are composed of women, and you'll see them glorifying a very limited, slanted and in my opinion anti-woman version of beauty. But I'll stop before I start ranting.

That said, my all (and gynaecologist :D) says I'm pretty 'down there' (okay, my all says that. My gynaecologist just says I'm normal), so I take that as opposed to whatever I read on the interweb.

Nope, women don't have a prostate.

I'm pretty much of the opinion that it's my body; with whatever flaws it has, it's the only one I have. Women need to embrace their sexuality more and not get so caught up in what they look like, because real w,en cannot possibly live up to the standards set by photoshopped, air-brushed, professionally groomed and made up women society presents us with.

I'm real. If you're lucky enough to get a picture of me ;) it's not altered - mostly because I don't know how! - and I wouldn't if I did know how. I know I'm beautiful the way I am, even if it isn't 'porn normal'.

Hugs and :kiss:es for Sienna

Warning: This post has absolutely no socially redeeming value at all other than an impromptu statement of affection. So there.

Well worth noting the end paragraph :)

Quote: "Let’s recap. Vaginas and vulvas are so diverse as to defy quantification. Normal doesn’t exist. Porn promotes images of women whose genitals look like pre-pubescent girls. These images have sadly been internalized by members of both sexes, but we no longer have to look to porn to find images of genitalia other than our own. So ladies, stand up and be proud: most likely your lady parts are both normal and extraordinary. Vaginas (and vulvas too!) are wacky, wonderful and in no way average."

I have had no complaints about mine :)

Afternoon everyone! I hope we are all having wonderful mornings, days, or evenings!

Sorry it took me such a long time to read this. But I was really interested in what was said.

I hope this puts an end to the whole~ do women like big cocks? As the article says. there are so many different vaginal shapes and sizes that for each dick there is a place for it. ;) [laughs]

As for me, I will admit to comparing myself against the "normal" type. But I have to say with age comes an "ah fuck it" attitude. It is what it is and mine feels good both to me and my hubby. So I think I will keep it. :D

I will say that this does bring to mind a conversation I had with a friend. We started talking about hair on the female body. I had to laugh when he talked about what was normal and it occurred to me that some people think of a woman having hair (not just in the pubis region but anywhere) is somehow not natural. And yet it seems to be that the absence of hair is what is "unnatural". We are supposed to have hair~ under our arms, on our arms, on our legs, between our legs. That we as a society have decided that hair anywhere on female body other than the head is not natural or attractive is what I find a little "odd".

How did this happen? Any ideas?

Of course, there are some cultures where hair on a woman's body is still acceptable and normal....and even attractive.

I've noticed that men are also trying to rid themselves of hair in the places that they are supposed to have it - their chests, especially, and their balls. While the smooth ball look - and feel - is attractive - to me, at least - I would definitely be a bit dismayed to find that my partner had rid himself of that sexy hairy chest and belly. Men are supposed to be a little rough and hairy.

Oh I hate when men wax and shave themselves. :(

But that being said, you say men are supposed to be hairy. But so are women. In our natural state that is they way we are supposed to be. Perhaps not as hairy as men, but still the hair is supposed to be there. Or else we wouldn't spend money and time removing it.

Removing pubic hair:

My hubby complains quite a lot about me shaving and waxing my pubes regularly. He likes "some" down there, a neatly trimmed patch no doubt. However, like photograph says, I shave mainly for my own satisfaction, not his.

Now and then I do get him to shave his shaft, especially when it gets far too heavy (don't even think of it ) because I give oral sex quite a bit. Oral sex and hair on his manhood somehow don't go together very well.

The reasons he likes me having pubic hair is, (a) It's natural. (b) Looks good when trimmed nicely to a natural shape, and (c) It collects my scent and excites him to want to have sex (mentioned by JoyDyan as one of the natural features of attraction for procreation). What lies beyond is just the "basic equipment" no matter how it appears. Pubic hair on a woman does a very good job of harbouring lots of female body scents...

But, I personally feel more hygienic being shaved/waxed at the end of the day.

I agree Sienna. I personally feel more hygienic if I'm clean shaven. Sometimes, I'll leave a small patch, but it's always neatly trimmed.

I actually have the same deal myself, only the male version. I wouldn't shave completely, but I do trim close. To me it feels better, as well as when I'm running, I don't have any issues like caught hairs, or really bad sweat smell. It also makes it a lot easier to clean, and makes me feel like I did a better job.

Yes, the hygiene bit is important I think. We have to live amongst other members of a public where dirtiness or sex should not be easily attractable, only in maybe looks or armless flirting. We are human mammals and have a dignity and status to behold outside of the bedroom and procreation.

I can't believe I said that, but it is true. I'm getting moralistic these days :D

*hugs* Sienna! :rose:

Mine is purely for hygienic reasons though. As a child, and through two pregnancies, I suffered terrible urinary tract infections. I just feel much cleaner if I'm shaven, and I find it easier to make sure I'm clean. Odd, I know.

For me, it's just comfort. Not getting things caught in compression shorts, or pulling anything. And it knocks down on "crotch rot", or that really bad smell when a guy's crotch gets all sweaty.

Saying good evening to everyone. Beyond that, I feel I have little to contribute.

No I don't think it is odd photo my love. I have always had a hang up about being clean in that area. I will only share these things with those I trust, obviously medical specialists and those I love and understand me.

One amazing thing about "empathic" Sapphic sex with another female is how you don't mind sharing these things. What she's got, I've got and what she feels, I feel. Part of the amazing magic of being bifem or totally lesbian :)

Evening to you as well {{SIENNA}} (well, good early morning to you) :rose:

It's interesting how some are comfortable talking about their sex lives and some are not. Even when I had girlfriends, my personal life stayed personal for many facets of its (all too brief) existence.

I opened up about myself after meeting Jules at 11 years old :) She is now a totally different person and I seemed to have adopted her wild side :D It all begins at high school Brett and a very curious mind :) I have always been open, yet as I mentioned above, there are those limitations that do belong in the right "acceptable" place.

Sex, erotica and love are areas you share between each other in a group, again with limitations. The other parts of life are what you want others to recognise because it shows your intelligent and productive capabilities, how much of a civilised person and conformist you can be. These should be separated from bedroom pleasures, because they are public profile.

Like I say. When I am working doing deals with customers worth millions of euros a year, do they really need to know that I can also deep throat a 7" cock to its whole length? :)

Yes, as well as turning me on too, actually sucking on a gorgeous 7" cock and feeling it filling my whole mouth from lips to tonsils along my tongue :D Somehow I think thoughts like that can be kind of distracting when your deal needs to keep atleast 40 people in employment for a whole six months ;)

I am very open-minded SIENNA and likely knew more than most of my classmates by the high school days (I had been reading Playboy for years by then) But I was thought to either be a "geek", "nerd" or the "class clown" and not sexual at all. It is a perception that never really went away either. Why people assume the kind, well-mannered man cannot have a wild streak has always puzzled me.

For the same reason many men assume the shy, quiet nerdy girl isn't a freak in bed. I had the same labels in school, I was a geek, nerd, whatever. I still tend to portray that particular role to society.

There are many "armless" tales I could tell you about those so called innocent high school nerds and geeks :) However, one will have to use ones imagination at best. At a certain age we are on the verge of adulthood and that is when we discover and learn.

I noticed those poor nerds and geeks because I was one too. Being interested in astronomy, mathematics and physics as well as literature definitely placed in that bracket.( Sister /Litster, photograph would understand what I mean). But thanks to Jules, I was her friend and slowly the greenhouse became my playhouse ;) I would target the geeks and nerds first and they appreciated it as much as I did ;) Those must have been great years for both them and myself :)

I do see that point....but - and no offense here, Sienna, because you are beautiful - I've always felt that the totally clean-shaven look was a little bit pedophilic. I'm trimmed...and I do wax some, because let's face it, no one wants a mouthful of hair....but I'm also a woman, and I'm supposed to have hair, as Blu pointed out. I'm not a little girl. So I do keep a patch.

I can identify with that "paedophilic" description Joy. You are so right unfortunately, yet I have gotten into a personal habit for the reasons I had mentioned and one is the "itch" :) When pubic hair grows back, you know it's time to shave or wax again because of that uncomfortable sensation that gets embarrassing.
