Your Advice To A New *litster*

A good thread for newbies. Deserves a bump.

I was a bit apprehensive when I started, too. But most of the members here were (and still are) very helpful. Just remember, they were once "newbies", too, so take their advice to heart; they've got most of this down pat.

I don't know if this has been mention here, but my advice would be to take care not to reboot any old threads that have not seen the light of the screen for awhile. Usually, it's someone who asked a question/some advice from months or even years ago. More than likely, their problem/concern was addressed and taken care of already (I believe this is stated in the "How to..." section, as well). Made that mistake a couple of times, myself. Oops.

Oh, and don't worry if you make a simple mistake your first couple of tries, such as spelling, grammar, weird spacing, etc. Most of the major faux pas have been addressed here, already. The little stuff... don't sweat it, the people here are very forgiving (well, almost all of them  ). Given time, you'll catch on. Hey, it's all good clean (well, semi-clean, sometimes ;) ) fun here in the Playground.

Relax and enjoy. Have fun with it. :nana:

What can I say, apart from; I'm very shy. But luckily the wondrous women of 'Lit' are helping this HNG overcome his lack of knowledge of Interweb acronyms. :D

Now, these waders ... would they be thigh-high, knee-high or ankle-high, pull-on, lace-up or zip …

I normally wouldn't ask, it's just such knowledge would be a great help to us vergin'.

And do you often find yourself fishing amongst flies in barns in the wild beside mucky rivers? :)

:p :D

starrynightin64, thank you for your company. You are a delight, truly, but I need my beauty sleep more than most.

I do so hope we two bump into one another again.

Be good to you. :rose:

Here's some advice ~ maybe I'm just an idiot and didn't realize this before, but it took me a while to figure this out ~ you can play with the options in the "User CP". I had no idea that you can change how the threads are viewed, either older or newer posts on top, etc.

Another piece of advice ~ be wary of taking advice!

Have fun boys and girls...

Hi ohgoyinga ~ Welcome to Lit. :) There are so many options and features it takes awhile to even find them, much less get good at using them. That can be part of the fun.

Hope you are enjoying yourself. You are right about taking all things completely at face value; but then in most ways this adult site is like life.
