My dad says he remembers the first time he dreamed in color.

you get the picture!

They're definitely my favorite too. And the music is just brilliant. Actually, I love so many cartoons, even the crap like Pokemon, it's easier to list the ones I like least:

Ed Edd and Eddie (completely unfunny)

Wow, I've just seen the inside of your head

a) The original 70's Spiderman. Horrible animation, but excellent jazzy music.
b) Family Guy / American Dad. I'm a huge Seth McFarlane fan.
c) The Simpsons. Obvious.
d) Aqua Teen Hunger Force. Surrealist cartoon that leaves me in stitches.
e) Looney Tunes. Foghorn Leghorn was my fave.
f) Home Movies. From the same folk that made Dr. Katz. McGuirk Rules!
g) He-Man. If only for Skeletor.
q) Garfield and Friends. Obvious.
r) Lucky Luke. The coolest cowboy ever to grace celluloid.
s) Asterix & Obelix. The live action movie was well done.
t) The Adventures of Tin Tin. I learned much copying old Tin Tin books.
u) King of the Hill. I can immitate Hank's voice perfectly.
v) South Park. Tre Parker and Matt Stone are the vanguard.

Actually, Walt Disney's Wonderful World of Color started in 1961 and it wasn't the first show in color.

1. Chilly Willy
2. Silly Symphonies
3. Original Simpson Shorts from the Tracy Ullman Show
4. Peabody and Sherman of Rocky & Bullwinkle fame
5. The Land of Gorch Not technically a toon i know, but i loved the muppets on SNL and even earlier.... was it the Ed Sullivan Show or????? back when Kermit wasn't green yet... just a little grey...... but wasn't he Sam And Friends back then?!?!

Old and forgetful, but i do love my toons :D

Thank you for putting Chilly Willy in there. None of my friends remember him at all. (Yet they remember watching Woody Woodpecker. Go Figure.)

I forgot about The Tick, X Men, that future Batman show, and many others, but mostly The Tick. That was an awesome show. I saw the DVD box sets the other day, and almost bought them. Maybe I should go back when I pick up a few other things later in the month (waiting for a video game to be released).

1. Looney Tunes, but only the ones Chuck Jones directed. ("That boy is about as sharp as a pound of wet leather." ~ Foghorn Leghorn)

2. King of the Hill

3. The Simpsons

4. Dangermouse (and his hamster sidekick, Penfold)

5. Popeye

1. Pink Panther

2. Tom and Jerry

3. Fairly Odd Parents

4. SpongeBob SquarePants

There is a tie for me for #5...
5. Fosters Home for Imaginary Friends & The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy

:D

Ah yes, but if you go buy The Tick now, you could pick up Sevendust and Chimaira. :)

SPOON!!

I don't like Sevendust. Too preachy. I only ever bought the first CD of theirs, and tired of it quickly.

1. (Tie) Classic Looney Tunes/Classic Disney

2. Spongebob Squarepants

3. Simpsons

4. King of the Hill

5. South Park

I didn't really get into them until their second and third albums. But I like the "muted" guitar sound they have going on. It's like I told Script, when you hear a track from them, you know it's them right away.

On a side note Chimaira is an awesome cd too. (Their drummer from their second album is back with them.)

Tripping the Rift (especially the original that was only available on the net)
Dudley Doorite
Fat Albert
Speed Racer
Wacky Races

Okay . . . .

1) The classic Roadrunner cartoons . . . especially the ones where Wile E. Coyote gets really intricate in his plans . . . .

2) Space Ghost (the old ones; not the sarcastic crap on Comedy Central these days)

3) Transformers -- all of them from the 80s

4) Have to echo Darklove's fondness for Voltron; watching the giant robot generate that sword always sent a tingle down my spine . . . 'It's kick-ass time!'

5) Eight Man After. Obscure Japanese import, but a great freakin' series ;)

In no particular order:

Fat Albert

Loony Toons

Pink Panther

Captain Caveman

Land of the Lost (OK, I know, not a cartoon, but still so far fetched it could have been. I wanted one of those jewels they used in the Slestak(sp?) pyramid.

Thank you for seconding Voltron. I was beginning to think I was the only one. :)

I like it too, I just haven't said anything yet.

And I wasn't aware of any lineup changes in Chimaira except that my friend told me the vocalist changed. I haven't paid attention to band lineups since the 90s.

My favorite 5 cartoons

1. Warner Brothers Bugs Bunny (before they were all edited to be PC)
2. A Wind Called Amnesia (anime)
3. All six episodes of Salad Fingers (can be found on youtube)
4. the cartoon intermission at the Drive-In movies
5. Speed Racer

There are six now? I think there were only four or five the last time I checked...

Here I go thread jacking my own thread.. :) Oh well, anyways, as far as I know it's the same guy singing (Mark hunter), although he does employ a few new vocal styles on this album. The only reason I knew the drummer left and came back is it's in the liner notes where he thanks the band for letting him back in.

BTW, thanks for the 3rd on Voltron. :) I bought it on DVD the day it came out.

"Form blazing sword!" Get's me every time. :)
