With a very heavy heart, I need to tell you that Denise left us to go back to her Father this morning. I will write more later. Take care, Karen

Thank you kc
I was on the rode back when I got the news
I drove maybe 100 miles through tears

It is funny
but I was singing
"give god his glory glory....."
a church buss song

She was an example of living courage and a constant source of joy to those around her.

AMEN !!!!!!

The last few months we talked and studied on how did not bring bad things
HE only brought blessings
that it did us more good to praise him
than spending time telling him what he already knew about the bad things in out lives

I never met Lady Kat but we did talk briefly over PM once. I know we are not supposed to moan but rejoice in a life well lived. Still ,I can't help but feel sad.

My sincere condolences, Richard. I hope she is at peace now and that you can find some also.

Richard I am sorry you have lost your friend lady-kat. I took your advice and read her contributions on threads. As you know the poem above was hers. She placed it in her signature line here .......perhaps this is a part legacy in itself. I see lady-kat had a love of your lounge/sofa here on this thread Richard and a perchant for chocolate, coffee, cream, cheese danish , brownies and more coffee and cream , new potatoes with blue cheese, her 'furballs', more coffee and her friends .....smile.

~.:::rose: To all who had the priviledge to have known lady-kat my sincere condolences :rose:::.~

YW Richard *hug*
I know you said this thread goes when lady_cat does...but i have a suggestion. Leave it here in memory of her, even if you don't post to it.
Many, many people have been inspired by, and admire her strength. I being one of them.
I know that any time i saw a post from her on your thread it was the first one to read for me. I'm sure that others feel the same. :rose:

kc

I will think about this
but she knew my intent of deleting my ID and threads
to much pain here on lit for me
to much past shit

but I will consider your request
and please understand if I chose to delete

It's like 5 PM Saturday here
I have been to my recovery meeting and little at SAMs
my body is not happy with me and my trip
so what's new with that?
nothing

I am sitting here with tears in my eyes
I got an email add from Jackson and Perkins
nice new roses on sale
in the past I always forwared them to lady_kat
and then we would talk of them

those that have been here very long
know about my Veterans rose etc
my yard
the yard that with help of friends I have turned into an animal sanctury of sorts
A yard lady_ket enjoyed together
even though it was through cyber space

Part of our daily exchanges had to do with our bird and animal stories
from my yard and from her yard

"will you be my friend
a friend far beyond the feeblness of any vow or tie
will touch the secret place where I am really I
to know the pain of lips that plead
and eyes that weep
who when have found me mangled by qouta of defeats
will stop and stay and tell me of a day when I was beautiful"

It would be a shame to have recently met you only to see you go!

Denises Funeral Arrangments

SATURDAY, MARCH 11, 2006 04:16 PM, CST
Even if you are not from this area, I thought some of you may want to know the funeral arrangements, as perhaps you could pray and think of Denise and her family on the following days. Denise always appreciated your love and kind support. Over the past week and a half, her family and friends have much appreciated it as well.

Services will be held at the Gates Funeral Home, 29 W. Genesee Street, Baldwinsville, NY 13027

Calling hours are Sunday, March 12th, 4:00 P.M. - 7:00 P.M.

The funeral will be held Monday, March 13th, at 11:00 A.M.

A meal will be served immediately following the funeral service at the Wetzel Road church of Christ, 4268 Wetzel Road, Liverpool, NY .

I will post again after the funeral. Thanks again so much, Karen

I am faraway and it is my first post on this thread even if I always read it with a moved heart .

Please accept my prayers and thoughts for lady_kat and you :rose:

This morning is Denise's funeral
I am jealious
I wish I was gone also
or at lest that I couold have traveled to her funeral

She and I often talked about which of us would go first

I am pleased she is no longer in pain
just jealious

I have been spending my day so far
fighting VMAC
hell the phone system for the local clinic has not been working
and nothing new on my pension

And to You as well!
May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face;
the rains fall soft upon your fields.

Happy St Pat's day to ya all

Same to You Richard, some have the habit of drinking green colored beer here in Australia today. Do they do that in the US as well may I ask.
