The GOP controls the governor's mansion in 30 states representing just under 60% of the population.

The GOP controls the governor's mansion AND the legislature of 25 states representing over 50% of the population. Democrats can say the same for only 14 states and just 33% of the population.

A Gallup poll in September of 2012 indicates that 65% of Americans trust their state government.

More interesting news?

The latest Bureau of Labor statistics shows unemployment in the 25 states totally under GOP control is 7.2%. Do you know what it is in the 14 states under total Democratic control? 8.4%!

The 25 states under GOP control are doing it without credit ruin too. Their average S&P rating is AA.
The average rating for the 14 Democratic states? AA-!

That does not abrogate the fact that it is the Progressive Federal government and its use of fiat money that is going to overcome anything and any short-term success that any state can have in the long run.
