The California governor put GOP leaders on blast on health care,
gun control, book bans and more.

California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) tore into Republican governors over how their states have
suffered under GOP leadership.
He started with a quick dismissal of Texas Gov. Greg Abbott (R).
“One of the worst crime and murder rates in America and one of the worst mental health records of
any governor in America,” he told MSNBC’s Jen Psaki. “I’m not so convinced about the merits of his leadership.”
Newsom said the problem wasn’t limited to Texas.

“Eight of the top 10 murder states are Republican states,” he said. ”Seven of the top 10 dependent states ―
God forbid, dependent states ― are red states.”

He was just getting warmed up:

The life expectancy in the South and they’re not expanding Medicaid and prenatal care and providing child care?
It’s jaw-dropping. How they all continue to get reelected is beyond me. Infant mortality? You care about life, and you
look at life expectancy? You care about life, and you have kids that are gunned down by weapons of war? Spare me.
All in the name of freedom, as you’re banning books?
“With all due respect, we should not be on the defensive as the Democratic Party,” he concluded.
“The Republican Party should be on their heels, not us.”

Did Jen ask him why people and businesses are leaving California? Or why he thinks people and businesses are moving to Texas?

Over the years I've been here, even Orange County has become less tolerant of the far-right hillbillies who hate dark-skinned people and listen to shit country music. Those were largely the first ones I saw leave for Texas - which is where they belonged from the very start. (Adios, Fontucky.)

Later, some rich liberals tried to do it as well for tax reasons, and many admitted it was a big mistake. Their remarks on the experience are hilarious.

California is admittedly a luxury experience. Not for everyone - especially not for Lit Deplorables, who could never hack it here today, and thus pretend they wouldn't want to. 😎

No, she did not. You should write a strongly worded letter to her manager.

That's also the kind of weak deflection we've come to expect from you simpletons.
A deflection? If the governor of one state attacks the record of the governor of another state, it’s reasonable to ask why his own constituents are leaving and why the other state is attracting people and business. Sounds like Jen dropped the ball.

what a dumb fucking take comparing people leaving a state to crazy murder rates and dependency of another.

Yes, it was deflection on your part. How do you know "she dropped the ball" when you haven't read the interview?

Read.
Comprehend.

In that order.

Why are people and businesses leaving CA? And why are people and businesses moving to TX? California’s regressive gas and sales taxes keep rising, its homeless crisis is worst in the country and getting even worse, it has the lowest literacy ranking in the country. It’s very silly for him to be casting stones at governors of more prosperous, affordable states that are attracting residents rather than losing them.

governors are dropping their illegals in his state because they can't govern their own backyard. your alternate reality isn't factual.

Well at least Newsome doesn't sit there, accept the right wing corporate narrative, then start stuttering and apologizing for promoting Democratic ideals looking like a deer caught in the headlights. The Alan Colmes style of debate where Democrats are perpetually on the defensive is way past it's sell date.

BabyBoobs TOTALLY misses the point that Governor Newsom is REBUTTING the bullshit, gaslighting narrative that the “red state” MAGAts have been promulgating.

The MAGAts threw boulders is their glass houses, and Governor Newsom simply pointed it out.

Cry more MAGAts

People move within states, others leave for other states. In growing states, people who leave are replaced by people moving into the state. The population of Texas is growing.
Thanks for admitting your California narrative is nothing, since as you admit, it happens in other states as well.

Such an oddly weird thing to wish economic failure on any one of the 50 states much less the largest one that subsidizes so many of the others.

The data comes from the Bureau of Economic Analysis. It’s not based on their wishes.

I wasn’t talking about the data.

Feigning ignorance is just the way BabyBoobs trolls.

It’s more effective to just straight out call BabyBoobs an ignorant garbage individual to avoid any misconceptions / misperceptions. IMHO.

That depends on how strong the evidence really is that what you are describing is happening. And there are actually more people moving to Texas' metropolitan areas from elsewhere in Texas than from California.

Migration among states does happen. But what you're referring to here is just one statistic someone pulled out of context that went viral on right-wing media, because it's what the likes of you want to believe. That is why Jen Psaki didn't waste the governor's time with it.

Wall Street Journal (I think that is where it was) had an article predicting if trends remain as what we have seen the last 20 years...in 10 more years the US will be #3 in terms of economic power. Most of that...coming from Blue States. Why should we continue to carry dead weight?
