It's official, people in Alabama can produce home-made Voter ID. As long as they happen to be chairman of the Alabama Republican Party.

Wahl's family say that they believe that Voter ID is the mark of the devil. Yes, really. Since the complaints were made, Wahl's reputation has risen to the extent that he was elected Vice-Chairman of the RNC.

When poll workers asked Alabama GOP Chairman John Wahl for his voter ID, he gave them a card they'd never seen before, ostensibly from the State Auditor's office identifying him as a press secretary. When challenged at the polls, Wahl texted this photo to the Limestone County Probate court. The Alabama Finance Department says it has no record of Wahl working for the state and it never issued him an employee ID badge.

Alabama Republican Party (ALGOP) Chairman John Wahl is joining the leadership ranks at the Republican National Committee (RNC).
Wahl was elected one of the RNC’s vice chairmen at the party’s winter meeting in California this week. He will oversee the Southern region of the RNC.
“I’m excited about the opportunity to represent the people of Alabama on the RNC, and defend the conservative values that Republican voters stand for,” Wahl said
