I meant to ask this in my last post, but does anyone know if its possible to talk with more than one person at once. I know you can group talk with the text messenger, but can you talk with it as well.

Because that would be cool, having a chat with four or five people while surfing the board. lol

Carl

I know you can group talk in chat rooms, so what we used to do was just create a private chatroom at Yahoo and use invite.

When I used to visit a Trivia club, most of us had cams and depending on the pc and connection be able to see 6 or 7 other people real time and chat in the room on keyboard.

That was fun at first. Got old a bit quick.

I can still remember getting my first taste of an instant messenger, and cybering on it. That got old real quick too. In fact it was at this site that I first asked what cybering was, cause it was relatively new to me then.

I prefer to use the mike now, because I found I was looking too much at the keys and not enough at what the other person was saying. Plus it's hard with one hand under the table. lol

I had the pleasure of talking with Vella today on yahoo, what a charming person she is. Very pleasant and funny. Of course she lives on the other side of the world, but hey, you can't have everything. lol

Funnily enough she did like my voice. lol

And she is sweet, she treat me like an old friend instead of someone she just met, and I felt completely comfortable talking with her.

It's always nice when you can hit it off with a person so quickly.

You're only saying that because it's true. lol

I think I'm finally getting my humour back, I'm starting to feel like an eighteen year old. I just wish I could find one.:p

Funnily enough, I want to revel in your sexuality as well.:p

In fact I want to do so many things to you, you'll feel like an eighteen year old again.:D

Oh the memories of being that age, wait a minute, I can't remember that far back. I'll just have to be me, and hope no one notices.

dont wanna be 18 till i die, no matter how hard bryan adams seems to want to push it.

age is a state of mind and all that. i happen to believe its true. analogies to budding flowers aside; we only get better. i am better today than i was when i was 18 and thought i knew it all.
i know now that i know just about nill today and im learning everyday, in the bedroom or out of it..
knowledge is a heady and wonderful thing.

Sometimes my mind soars, and my heart wants to join it. I suppose that's the feeling of being young again. I will let my guard down for just a sec and tell you something Vella, you're a beautiful person inside and out. Don't ever change.

I just found something that might interest all those people who have more than one messenger.

http://www.easymessage.net/

That link will take you to an instant messenger download page, and supports MSN, ICQ, YAHOO and AOL You can be logged onto all of these messengers with just one IM.

I'm currently using it for aol and yahoo.

Another tiny tidbit...Yahoo IM has a new version out. Aesthetically, it takes a little getting used to but it's got some neat new features and some old features that are revamped and better than ever. It feels a bit slanted toward the young teen generation of messengers, but I suppose that's who they're most used by. Anyway, just thought I'd share.

I found it by Googling "Yahoo IM" I'd post a link, but when you get to the page it automatically begins downloading and I don't really want to do it twice. :D

Thanks Lucky, I've just upgraded and I've got to say it's pretty cool. Now if only someone would talk to me god damn it! Ok I'm alright now, I needed that outburst.

Good one, except that is it eported to have problem with showing the right status on people in your contact list.

I use Miranda for that. Have AOL, MSN, Yahoo, ICQ, Jabber, RSS newsfeeds, an online chess service (I get my ass kicked) and an IRC chat channel going at the same time. :)

You're right there were problems apparently, but they've added a few bug fixes so I would dare to say that those problems no longer exist.

I use msn and Yahoo, though I rarely use the talk function. Too loud in there with the kids making noise most of the day.

I just love the new and improved yahoo Lucky, I especially like the new talking emoticons. The lips are superb.

Wow, how did I miss this thread?

I use AIM mainly. I have Yahoo, but prefer not to use it, since my ex uses it and knows my screenname...and I'm too lazy to make a new one. Besides, all the people I want to talk to use AIM. :)

AIM is kinda sucky for file transfers, though. Have to fiddle with it a lot to make it go. *shrug*

I find yahoo the best for keeping in touch with friends.

But the Yahoo rooms are ....well ,..maybe I'm just not going to the right ones
