Why It Matters

First, to the extent that the United States is engaged in a conflict of propaganda and soft power with the regime in Beijing, there’s a pretty big difference between a world where the Chinese regime can say, We weren’t responsible for Covid but we crushed the virus and the West did not, because we’re strong and they’re decadent, and a world where this was basically their Chernobyl except their incompetence and cover-up sickened not just one of their own cities but also the entire globe. The latter scenario would also open a debate about how the United States should try to enforce international scientific research safeguards, or how we should operate in a world where they can’t be reasonably enforced. Perhaps that debate would ultimately tilt away from China hawks, as David Frum argues in The Atlantic, because the lesson of a lab leak would be that we actually need “more binding of China to the international order, more cross-border health and safety standards, more American scientists in Chinese labs, and concomitantly, more Chinese scientists in American labs.” Or perhaps instead you would have an attempted scientific and academic embargo, an end to the kind of funding that flowed to the Wuhan Institute of Virology from the U.S.A.I.D., an attempt to manage risk with harder borders, stricter travel restrictions, de-globalization. Either way, this debate would also affect science policy at home, opening arguments the likes of which we haven’t seen since the era of Chernobyl and Three Mile Island about the risks of scientific hubris and cutting-edge research.

I don't know if this is true or not. BUT, does anyone want to bet that the mainstream media either won't report on this or will try and label these guys (in Sweden) as "Trumpsters" or "fascists" or idjits who don't know squat about virology?

Yes. The Wuhan laboratory was working on research about Covid in animals before the whole thing started. Covid has been in animals for decades.

Even Dr. Fauci has said that gain of function researched should be pursued even if it meant a lab leak.
He even made sure that it was funded in China.

So, my apologies for thinking that you were clinging to the wet market theory that was first advanced.

Yes they were working on it, but they were looking into a cave-cleaning incident that killed
three mine worker in a completely different and isolated region of China.

Those bats did not find their way in to the Wuhan wet market,
but they did find their way into the lab.

The smoking gun is that is where the Covid variants were, not in Wuhan's streets or markets.

Was it an accident? Was it deliberate? Was it either and the Chinese just hid it and silenced those who were worried as they would any bad news?

Is suspect we will never be wholly sure except that the Chinese LIED, and lied again and continue to lie and cover-up.

The problem is that when the NON mainstream media tried to point this out early on, they got labelled and vilified for it.

Now the evidence is such that all those deniers might have to eat crow. Instead, they'd rather just continue the lies and finger pointing to avoid that. Even if it means that China gets away with killing millions in a world-wide genocide "accident."


Even if it wasn't a lab leak and it occurred naturally, China's denial and coverup, the WHO lack of truthfulness question, and China continuing to send their infected people everywhere abroad without ANY warnings to ANY other nation, shows via circumstantial evidence that the intent was to spread the virus instead of contain it.

Add it up yourselves and see what the answer is in your own mind. I'm on record as saying it was biowarfare. Everything then, and now, points straight to that conclusion. The only ones who don't want to believe, are the same ones who point fingers and blame Trump and everyone else they disagree with except China for the cause.
