Writing Goal for the Day?

I returned from work this afternoon and discovered a pile of notes, bundled neatly. I believe my wife has come to a conclusion: The pile is what SHE wants me to write.

Well, as long as the email issue has been resolved three audio submissions for the audio poetry category are on their way for approval/rejection. :eek: Now since this computer works so well for those pieces I can work on a few audio stories that I think well do very well, granted it means moving the laptop to a more private setting than the kitchen/dining area. :rolleyes:

:) If I'm going to remain being serious about this addiction, then I need to utilize this thread each morning.

Today, 'The Goals' that shall be accomplished, shalt be:

#1....Get the new QYnG ('Quikie Yank~n~Go') story, completed & submitted

#2....Get most of the rest of c39 of the flagship strokomance, done also

If ^after that^ and the brain cells are still bumping and I'm still in the finger poking mood:

#3....Get some more verbage added to the rough draft of c4 of the new mini series that is another strokomance

#4....Ditto to #3 except that this one is about getting SOME written for the first chapter of the strokodrama plot bunny I have caged & am feeding

#5....Kinda sorta like #1 & #4 combined; begin feeding another one of the QYnG baby plot bunnies enough, that it can be weaned & released to the wild sometime soon.

And of course....the ever-present & always a daily goal of: A self-review of the sanity level and discussion with self (yet again); about whether 'PRO-fessional help', may indeed be the smartest way to invest self's time....instead of writing gay smut. :D

Oooohhh....deja~fukin~vu moment! :cool: This is post # 69 :kiss:<===8:p

:eek: what a thing to stumble across while trying to peruse AH for the first time in YEARS.- and here i was thinking i was Safe, in a "writing goals" thread!

:rolleyes: silly me.

Looks like an inside day with all the rain. Perhaps I can do some stuff with PennGirl, then grab some time while she watches a show or something. I'm also thinking PennBoy's baseball game tonight will get rained out. One of those days.

I am thinking very long and hard on a fetish story that would be way out there for me, but not for others. It's been in my head for a while, but as an incest piece. I think I may see if the muse can take it down a different path and not use characters that would not be incestuous.

Okay, so I drop PennGirl at pre-school and then head off to Dunkin' Donuts for a little writing time. Except as I get to a light, I can look ahead and see a) traffic, b) blinking yellow traffic light and c) smoke. This is all near a gas station which is across from DD. So I change plans and here I am at home. Once again ignoring dishes, laundry, etc., and will attempt to write. Worked on Tuesday. God I'd just like to finish this chapter.

Notice how PINHEADs always roosting at the AH instead of writing.

Just finishing up the latest chapter of ALMI and feeling good about how it turned out. I felt the story needed some human drama and conflict to round it out a bit, so I had the women intiate the D-I-L into some Sapphic loving and kick the hornet's nest a bit. ;)

Happy writing :)

OMG, I think I finished a draft of the entire chapter for R&B. Ack.

And that must meant it's time to stop by the grocery store before I pick up PennGirl.

I may get some writing time in today. Will wonders never cease. :eek:

Still setting up habu's next anthology, due to launch in two weeks. And maybe cleaning out the screened pavilion and getting it ready for the summer.

I must be writing pretty well. Despite the traditional 1 bombs the trolls give me, as soon as a chapter is posted, it's rebounding back up and maintained the silly little H. Better luck next time trolls, seems too many like the story and vote high and negate your childish pranks.:D

12 chapters posted and you haven't figured it out yet? :confused:

Yes, some writing did get done.

Also I pulled out an old rewrite of a lost novel that a reader wanted to know about. Why are rewrites from scratch always worse than the original. Or are they?

A daily, 1000-word horror challenge, that was what I was going to attempt today after a long morning of nerd corrections. But as soon as I sat at the netbook to write, the image of a hot, sexy redheaded temptress from my past popped into my mind.

Damn that Irish/Scottish Catholic lass!!!

I had no goal for the day, but I sat down at lunch and started writing a new story. Two thousand words later, I'm off to a running start.

After suffering from a few days of burn out after I finished my novel project I managed 3k on a soft reluctance story last night. Hoping to get some more done on that tonight.

Haven't had time to write in daze, darn it. The r/l job has sapped all my time. Then, today, had to take daughter #1 (child #2) to a college scholarship interview. Met with financial aid. After her scholarships and grants... and her taking out the maximum of $5500 in student loans per year, there's a remaining balance of $6700 for dear ol mom and dad to finance. Um - sorry - that ain't happening. Oh, and this is for a public, state run university. The per year bill starts at just under $20K a year. I'm frustrated as hell!

Tomorrow - got work - maybe a chance to see "The Avengers" with the son - and on Saturday, I hope to remember that I'm still a writer.

Took a few hours and thanked all the people who faved me and gave comments. I've known some since my first story and have been faithful readers, so I owe it to them to let them know how much it means to me.

I know where you are coming from. My daughter received around 5800 in grants, and also maxed out financial aid and we signed a ParentPlus Loan (well the spouse did) for 10,300. She's set for the first year. And she will be paying the parent plus loan beginning after the second semester has started of her first year.

Yesterday, the Spawn registered for classes at a community college: 13 credit hours. Today is his prom. I took him to Barnes and Noble for lunch: I had a coupon for $1 slice of cheese cake, which he chose blueberries and cream. Also, he picked up the latest "Top Gear" mag.

Writing today will consist of trying to write more than one 300-word flash story.

This school is also State run - Ball State, Muncie Indiana. I have taken several courses at our community college, but still haven't earned that lovely associate degree. I just haven't found what I think is worth paying out my ass for yet. I don't see me going back any more. But who knows what the future holds.

Writing - possibly something sometime, I don't know yet.

I have two associate degrees, neither of which involve writing, and both from the 1990s. There are time when I wish I had taken more writing classes, other than Freshman English Composition.

I find it funny that people are knocking community/junior college educations, but...

They're still real colleges;
They're a HELL of a lot cheaper than 4-year colleges and universities;
and When the Spawn teenager has NO idea of what he wants to do, it's a perfect alternative to sending him to a SUNY where he'll more than likely NOT go to class and spend time on his laptop playing games.

I don't have a problem with either of my kids going to the community college. They didn't want to, so one is heading to Ball State, the other gets to make the decision next year and then in 3 years after that, the last one can decide. (I'm hoping he'll get a full ride with his music and number 2 should do very well with her offers because her SAT scores were very good) - either way though if they choose a community college cool - they still have to report back to me on how things are going, because my house, my rules. If you're not attending classes, then you better be working somewhere making money because I'm not forking over cash for them.
