Writing Goal for the Day?

Got another thousand or so words done yesterday. Today . . . I'm way too upset to write anything of quality.

<unrelated rant>

A word of advice I wished I'd listened to: if you have a good idea, shut your mouth and don't tell anyone about it, even people you consider(ed) friends. Because they just might claim it as their own and write a fucking grant application on it, leaving you with the options of either (a) shutting your mouth like a good little girl or (b) starting a he said-she said situation and looking like a crazed, jealous, angry woman. Since the grant's been funded, the former is the only real option. Time to paste on a cheerful smile!

Not sure who to be angrier with: me, for always trusting people, or him, for being such a lying, stealing, cheating jackass.

Oh, wow. I'm really sorry about that. :(

Part of me advises confronting The Jackass, but that likely won't get you anywhere. I mean, if he's the type that'd feel guilty, maybe it would, but I'd say if he took the idea, he probably won't feel guilty. In fact, he's probably convinced that he came up with it.

Take a few deep breaths, play with Little Tat, stick a few pins in a voodoo doll, and move along. ;) Or go read a chapter or two of, um, something, to take your mind off it.

I kid, I kid. *hugs*

Slavedriver! And not in a sexy way! :p

I started looking . . . but then felt motivated to write down the day's terrible events in case I ever need it in the future. Every romance story needs a hero(ine) with a sob story, right?

Another nearly 8,000-word day on the Dirk Hessian ancient China GM romp. What I really needed to do was to write the family Christmas newsletter. Maybe later.

I'm >< this close to being finished with my newest piece. It's a novella and I'm refusing to submit it until it's completed, no more little chapters and then leaving the story back to rot away. So once I complete the final bit, then I'll post the story in chapters, every other day submissions. I'm very excited. :D

I'm writing a little sequel to my (only) piece based off a different perspective from one of my characters. I'm trying to find a way to end the first bit gracefully...

That, and I have an essay on Woodstock for my college research paper.

Actually that's probably a great idea. As I've said, I have an idea for a story that would use an incident I had in high school. Funny how things stay with you after *cough cough* years.

I'm working on a series that describes the dissolution of my first relationship from the POV of my ex... her perspective, expectations, frustrations, etc. It also explores her sexual awakening/rebirth after our separation........this is based on interviews with her years after the fact when we could both discuss and interpret what was going on without being defensive....

Don't be coy, PL. We all know you've been out of high school for ten years or so. Just like we all know that Mr. Penn's business trip to California was really a five-point road trip to Tampa Bay, Miami, and Raleigh. :)

Yeah, that's it. It's like it was yesterday. ;)

If Mr Penn went to FL to see games without me, he'd be in big trouble.

Hope for another chapter of the Dirk Hessian today. UVa will be on ESPN2 this evening, so I will have to write in the afternoon.

I will try to write something, anything, before I find it not worthy of sharing with others.

Huh. I actually finished my chapter during a quick thirty minutes I stole in between painting some baseboards and getting the kidlet up from her nap. Weird!

Off to do some beta reading, and then I just might have time to do a final read-through of the chapter before I send it off. :)

That's true, but that's how it is in real life. :) You know how I am with the realism.

Yes, see, I was trying to be clever and hint that Mr. Penn played for the Flyers. Clearly, I failed. Sigh.

9.000 words to the Dirk Hessian book and then a surprise story typed itself on my computer. Off to watch the rest of the UVa-Florida State game. Thus far all even.

Good for you! :)

Oh, sorry. That was me being dense. Although perhaps Mr Penn might have helped today, since the Flyers lost AGAIN to Winnipeg, 6-4, and the Caps apparently didn't bother showing up for the game in Toronto, which they are currently losing 6-1.

On the other hand, tomorrow we go bowling in the morning. It has been so long since I have gone bowling.
