Revising. I even have the document open. Yea me, I'm doing something writerly.
Got another thousand or so words done yesterday. Today . . . I'm way too upset to write anything of quality.
Or go read a chapter or two of, um, something, to take your mind off it.
Slavedriver! And not in a sexy way!
I started looking . . . but then felt motivated to write down the day's terrible events in case I ever need it in the future. Every romance story needs a hero(ine) with a sob story, right?
Actually that's probably a great idea. As I've said, I have an idea for a story that would use an incident I had in high school. Funny how things stay with you after *cough cough* years.
Don't be coy, PL. We all know you've been out of high school for ten years or so. Just like we all know that Mr. Penn's business trip to California was really a five-point road trip to Tampa Bay, Miami, and Raleigh.![]()
If Mr Penn went to FL to see games without me, he'd be in big trouble.
But in your stories, your heroines rarely accompany their hockey-playing husbands or boyfriends on road trips.

That's true, but that's how it is in real life. You know how I am with the realism.
Huh. I actually finished my chapter during a quick thirty minutes I stole in between painting some baseboards and getting the kidlet up from her nap. Weird!
Off to do some beta reading, and then I just might have time to do a final read-through of the chapter before I send it off.![]()
Yes, see, I was trying to be clever and hint that Mr. Penn played for the Flyers. Clearly, I failed. Sigh.
