He had been at sea for six months. His ship was docking today. She went to greet him.

“I got you a present!” he exclaimed, while taking his shirt off. He had her name tattooed on his chest!

Except there was a letter missing…she tried to hide her disappointment….

Marcy was practicing the piano when she heard the noise.

Grabbing the shotgun, she walked out of the house in the middle of the night, almost blind from the darkness that engulfed her.

She almost ran when she saw the bear in the middle of the yard looking for food.

I jeered at the crowd, my head held high as balls of ice and snow pelted me. My head lifted with pride again as they read the charge, “Pirating the King’s oceans.”

A pirate can only call himself a pirate when he is this hated, when he rates the gallows.

For centuries, its torturous blade created oceans of blood as the tyrant rulers dealt with their opposition using brutal methods. The gallows was only the manner of death…but it was the evil of men that caused it.
