Next up: first, second and third person PLURAL!

But I agree with you about different POVs. It's not often that 2P is called for, but when it is, it can be an even more immersive experience than 1P.
'immersive' is a weird way to spell 'creepy'

It seems to me that 2P works best for a stalker... or maybe a scene from a Stephen King novel.

My highest-rated 2P story is stream of consciousness cyberpunk.

I have one stalker story that might look like 2P, but it' actually 1P addressing another character. And it's definitely creepy.

How would you clearly differentiate the two POV's here.
If there's an "I" in the story addressing the "you", then it's 1P. Like Love at First Sight. But also if there's a clear voice narrating *to* a "you", then I'd probably classify it as 1P, even without any explicit reference to "I".

If there's no "I", if there's nothing between the author and the "you", then it's 2P. Like You Know You Shouldn’t (although there's a case to be made that the voice is distinct, that it's the "you's" conscience), and Into The Night.

I have one! Wrote it today. Now I’ll just sit on it until it’s time to publish, same as with my Pink Orchid. Feels properly prepared to be ready so early, so I’ll give myself a gold star: ⭐

Thirty Days until the Kickoff!

Is anyone interested in my 1-2-3 Challenge?
Submit thee stories, one in First Person perspective, one in Second Person perspective, and one in Third Person perspective.
it's a real educational experience, especially if you're stuck using third person (like me) Second person is a real challenge, unless you've played the Dungeon Master in a D&D all nighter.

My tip, as someone who has a 2P-er that's rated 4.73, would be to focus on the action, or the setting, and not on the "you". Describe the world around the "you", let them be carried along with the story, and try to avoid dictating thoughts or actions to the "you".

Hmmmm, might be. I'm a fan of the experimental 750 worder.

To clarify, three pov versions of what is essentially the same story? But not just a sentence-by-sentence pov translation? That would be technical only, doable but not very instructive. I'd rather think about - "What would the alternate pov bring to an EB story?"
