matriarch said:I'm chastened to say I actually watched some of the second half. There are two versions on US tv, the English version, where the commentators know very little about football, and are very pedestrian in their comments, and the Spanish station.........I didn't understand a word they said, but they were so animated in their commentary, and at least they could pronounce Paraguay correctly!
McKenna said:I watched the match between Poland and Ecuador yesterday on ESPN2. They had an Irish and and English announcer that seemed to be okay. I notice ABC has American announcers, so maybe you'll have better luck with ESPN? Just a thought...
matriarch said:ABC was the 'English' one I started watching. Lacklustre commentary, and I'm not sure they even know what they're commenting on.![]()

Liar said:I must say that I'm not impressed with any team in the group. England was ok at best and won on a random goal, Paraguay was shaky all the way through, we Swedes suuuuuck, and TnT are only a threat against a team that suuuuucks.
