No good ones. Judging from what Roxanne and others have reported, I'd say he's not alone. It seems like Lit is doing a story-by-story sweep this time, assuming that's possible.

What is sad for me is that when 75 votes disappeared my score dropped six or eight points (I forget exactly where it was quo ante).

So, just taking this at face value, my problem wasn't smart trolls, but dumb sprites, sitting moron-like at their little elvish computers, with idiot-smiles on their little pixieish faces, pressing "five, five, five" over-and-over.

Muse, the lesbian category must be a friendlier place than romance, or maybe romance is just not as friendly to a lez story, because your oral-sex-on-the-couch scene in "Seventh Snowfall" is a masterpiece, and the lezlovers would eat it up, so to speak. I think if that story were in the lez category with just a little more emphasis on the fact that both characters were woman (I wasn't sure at first, which wasn't so important in the romance category but would be in the lez), it would have climbed to the top of the top list so fast and generated so many votes it would make your head spin.

I missed this post, Roxanne, sorry. Thank you for the lovely compliment! Even though it meant fewer reads/votes, I chose not to submit Seventh Snowfall to the Lesbian category intentionally – I thought it was kind of interesting that you weren't entirely sure for most of the story. That's why you never hear the narrator's name. Ah well, perhaps I should have let that idea go & gone for the votes...

Two things.

My Halloween entry had barely 6,000 views and less than fifty votes at the end of the contest. Now it's got nearly 25,000 views and 129 votes. Go figure.

Probably a lot of people read how widely it was (deservedly) acclaimed and went to read it and vote on it. Hopefully, it was not trolled.

Box has thrown down the smut gauntlet. Here's the comment he left on my six-page smut X-travaganza, Xmas Xcess.

A pretty good story and quite smutty. However, I did notice a few paragraphs where there was no sex happening, but I guess that's okay. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to finish the second part of my contest entry, which will be shorter than this but more thoroughly raunchy, including lesbianism, analingus and gay male.

To paraphrase that great American and fellow Dallas resident, Ross Perot, "Talk is cheap, smut is precious." Pornoholics are waiting.
