The boobies are real and mine, just joking about the other jiggly bits... ;)

Are you running XP? I never had this problem until I upgraded.

I called Dell and they told me it was a Microsoft issue. I called Microsoft and they told me it was a Dell issue.

I gave up and put a clock in my office.

There are two seperate programs that synchronize the clock in XP...one is in the taskbar, and if it's turned off, it could be conflicting with the other.

The other is in Control Panel\Administrative Tools\Services\Windows Time

If you turn them both off, it should clear up the time problem.

I have two clocks I can look at here but I get a panic when I look at the screen now and then and thing I should be somewhere else!!!

I know what you mean, T.H. Mine loses time, so I'll be sitting here sipping my coffee as what I think is 7:15 am when I hear my son's school bus pull up and realize it's actually 7:45.

Bob, what if I want my task bar turned on?

Sorry, I should have been more clear. If you double-click on the clock on the taskbar, there is a tab called "Internet Time." You can turn off internet synchronization there. But you also have to turn it off in Control Panel\Administrative Tools\Services\Window Time.

Sometimes, when you buy a new PC, or upgrade to XP, one of these two sync's can be turned off, causing problems with your clock.

** You can also turn them both on if you want XP to connect to the internet to synchronize your clock. But it does eat up resources, and can be a privacy issue for some people.

Thanks Bob. I turned them both off. So, will it keep time now? Why didn't either of the idiots I talked to at Dell or Microsoft tell me that?
