I have never identified myself as a slave until Bush.

It has to do with him not being elected by the majority.
It has to do with his ignoring the people of the country he is suppose to lead.

I am sure that I have always been a slave. I just have never felt the need to pull against my bonds the way I do now.

Presidents rarely get a majority vote. For example, Clinton was elected President in 1992 with 43 percent of the vote.

I was down in Florida during those countless recounts. The population in the States is too divided to ever give an outright majority to a president. Even now, people worry that there is too much power in the hands on one party and are backing off from that type of support.

I've read a few books that link Bush and Nixon , as far as their anger, paranoia, and dirty political tactics. What bothers me about Bush is that he has NEVER been president, except when it comes time to hurt people. Otherwise, he couldn't care less.
