You know, when someone puts me on ignore, I almost never try to get anyone to bump me to get their attention.

They're just not that important to me.

Why am I one of few people here who doesn't feel the need to scream at someone who doesn't want to hear me?

I'm just trying to figure out what brand of insecurity and feelings of inadequacy drive people to do this insistently. It's like a telemarketer pestering a household who has gone beyond mere do-not-call and has outright blocked their number...

Anyway... Ignore does not work the same way for all of us. I put people on Ignore mainly for three reasons.
1. Boredom. Some people are simply not worth even skipping over their posts.
2. Language... badly used and abused.
3. Flooding the forum main page with senseless threads.

Oh and I never ask for anybody to bump me. Chances are that you are giving yourself a carpal tunnel for clicking on View Post like crazy, which means that you are reading this now without any outside help
