Its a sick excuse. Kind of like "I killed the kids because the voices told me too." Those kind of excuses put a bad label on Christians in your example, and on the mentally ill. I'm sure there are many other examples. Some people will use any excuse they can conjure up to try to get out of paying for their crimes. Even worse, is there are people out there who LISTEN to the excuses.

Ya know, some of the whackos out there have so many voices talking in there head it sounds like a mall.Ever went to the mall on a saturday night and close your eyes to listen to all the people talk at once?

Exactly like that. I don't understand how Christianity can be the most violent. And I refuse to say that Muslims are either. However, a certain group of Muslims might fit into that category. NOT all. In general, Muslim is a very peaceful religion.
But, what people pay attention to is the excuses people use, and the patterns they see forming. They don't research all the history of a religion or an illness, etc., before they form a solid based opinion.
