If I want to listen to the radio I will turn it on and for free too.

Why pay for something you can turn on for free.

If I am going to pay cable or satelite fees I am going to do it for actual channels I am going to want to watch.

High quality digital reception/broadcasting...

don't they come free anyway with cable?

Not here in New Brunswick not on the cable or the satelite they cost extra package on each.

plus my radio/stereo has better sound than my tv does

How about no commercials, hello?

You obviously haven't checked it out Todd.

I'd keep my satelite service for the variety of announcer-free styles of music alone.

I'm hearing artists I never knew existed.

I have non-stop blues if I feel like it.

Of course if you don't give a shit about music...........

LMAO

Please don't give them any ideas.

I want to get this for when I'm in the truck. Listen to one station for the whole trip and plenty of different options. Even a Discover channel. Some talk radio with actual intelligent informative content.

Another reason they do it because audio only is a good (and cheap) way to boost channel counts. They tend to offer stuff like

Amreica's Top 100 package

featuring 60 audio channels, 10 Martha Stewart channels, 10 Fox Sport anywhere but Indiana, nad 20 assorted channels.
Premium channels, local channels and pay per vew and tax not included.
