Why Biden Will Win

I’m not the one who needs convincing. They are the target voters - the Zs.

They’ve spent a lot of their adult lives under Covid restrictions, student loan debates, they see climate change as something we have to live with more than something to prevent. They lived through the Trump years without being particularly aware of what was happening before them.

They blame the current administration for enabling a lot of what happening in Gaza.

Know your audience.

Yup. I understand.

The reality is that if Trump gets in that all of the issues they care about will be far worse. On every level. To a shocking degree. Again, voting is an act of self preservation. If they are worried about the environment, the economy, Palestine, student loans - the GOP will effectively screw them at every turn on those issues. And further, the GOP WANTS to screw them on those issues. Willfully.

I'm not sure what you have done to clarify their responsibilities as well as help them filter the information but please keep trying. Easier said than done, but they're not my kids.

Maybe turn them on to Adam Mockler or Luke Beasley? They're younger and fact oriented.

I’m struggling to convince my kids that voting is worthwhile. They have seen courts over rule voter initiatives and established law. They’ve seen shenanigans and fraud by politicians of every stripe.
This is exactly why it's so important to vote. Many state and local Judges are elected. Those that are not are appointed by politicians who are elected.

And remember, if kids don't vote and the wrong people get in office, they may not be able to vote later.

They already believe that we live in a corporate owned political system. It’s very difficult to prove otherwise.

Illegals voting
Nope
dead people voting
Nope
Malfunctioning ballot machines in heavy red areas.
Nope
Ballot harvesting
Nope
Also, the brainwashed people told that its okay to be invaded by criminals, barely be able to afford to eat, be at war all over the world, have our enemies growing stronger and uniting, because if you care about those things you're a fascist.
Nope. Nope. Nope. Nope.

Hope that helps. Delusional paranoia is a terrible thing.

I’m not making any predictions or bets on the presidential election but I am following the betting odds. Is anyone here placing bets and if so, which platform are you using?

A 2000 Mules fan, eh?

Is it even legal to be a 2000 Mules fan after the courts forced it to be pulled from circulation for being so inaccurate and defamatory, and after Dinesh D’Souza was forced to APOLOGIZE for the slanderous LIES contained in that piece of yellow journalism???

🤔

I wonder if Lovescrap68 will APOLOGIZE for spreading those slanderous LIES and pull their comment from circulation???

The way I look at it, going by the interactive maps, the best realistic scenario for Biden in the electoral college is him winning 270-268, so Biden has a very narrow path to victory in the electoral college. If Biden melts down and has a disaster, Trump could win 40 states and get as many as 408 electoral votes to Biden's 130.

In the best case for Biden scenario, where he wins 270-268:
Biden wins: HI, CA, OR, WA, CO, NM, NE-02, MN, WI, IL, MI, PA, NY, ME, VT, NH, MA, CT, RI, NJ, DE, VA, MD and DC
Trump wins: AK, ID, NV, UT, AZ, MT, WY, ND, SD, NE, KS, OK, TX, IA, MO, AR, LA, MS, AL, GA, FL, NC, SC, TN, KY, WV, IN, OH, ME-02

In the best case for Trump scenario, Biden only wins HI, CA, WA, IL, VT, MA, CT, RI, DE, MD and DC

Imagine what would happen if it ends 269-269, which is actually possible if Trump won NE-02, while everything else is as I said in the best case Biden scenario.

Fair point

He can’t apologize for lying because he believes they’re the truth. He drank the orange kool aid

Not caving to the rich donors who want to overturn the primary is a good start.
Or caving to Democratic House members, Senators, and a former Democratic president. Biden is holding up his side of the bargain he made with Democratic primary voters.

Trump wants Biden to stay in.

Obama and Pelosi and Schumer want him to withdraw.

……..and those here most opposed to a Trump win are on the same page as who ?

This thread smells like desperation and self deception.
Doesn't it just. LOL. Personally, I feel we should encourage them. Hubris goeth before the fall, or whatever the expression is.

I am by no means convinced Trump will win though. Democrats magically produced enough votes out of their asses at 3am last election. Nothing to say it won't happen again, except perhaps the sure fire knowledge that there is an infallible remedy that they very nearly discovered last weekend.

Damning new Secret Service whistleblower claims about Trump shooting reveal staffing crisis, untrained agents - and the agency's woke 'nepo-hire' director's links to Jill Biden

Cheatle was apparently unable to explain how agents failed to stop Thomas Matthew Crooks from clambering onto a roof and shooting at Trump from less than 150 yards away – even though the gunman was spotted by law enforcement 20 minutes before the shots were fired. 'No one has taken responsibility. No one has been held responsible. Someone has died. The president was almost killed. The head of the Secret Service needs to go,' Barrasso said later. Now as more fingers are pointed at Cheatle, new allegations have revealed the depth of dysfunction within the service, with Department of Homeland Security whistleblowers claiming the majority of Trump's security detail on Saturday were 'not even Secret Service' and were 'unfamiliar with standard protocols'.

'Individuals without proper designations were able to gain access to backstage areas. Department personnel did not appropriately police the security buffer around the podium and were also not stationed at regular intervals around the event's security perimeter.'

Whether or not Hawley's wild claims are true, the Secret Service and Cheatle have a lot to answer for. And now experts tell DailyMail.com that these failings are a symptom of an 'agency in crisis' after decades of understaffing and corrupt promotion and hiring practices. John Koskinen, from the nonpartisan National Academy of Public Administration, led an 18-month study into the Secret Service's workforce in 2019. Saturday's events shocked him, but Koskinen was not surprised by the whistleblower claims, telling DailyMail.com that the Service has been struggling to cover an increasing number of people and respond to more sophisticated threats in recent years. 'Life has gotten much more complicated,' he said, 'the threats are more sophisticated and ongoing, and now you're in the middle of a campaign.'

Cheatle, 53, was appointed director of the Secret Service in 2022, having worked for the agency for 27 years before leaving in 2019 to head up global security at PepsiCo. Announcing her selection, President Joe Biden revealed that 'Kim' had 'served on my security detail when I was Vice President' and he and Dr. Jill Biden 'came to trust her judgment and counsel'. Some sources went as far as to tell the New York Post on Monday that Cheatle had been personally tapped for the role by First Lady Jill Biden's top aide, Anthony Bernal, who is reportedly 'obsessed' with DEI. 'Cheatle served on Dr. Biden's second lady detail and Anthony pushed for her,' one source said. 'I heard at the time she was being considered for director that Anthony had pushed her forward as an option,' another added.

For her part, Cheatle has spoken openly about her goals of raising the number of the agency's female recruits to 30 percent of all new hires by the year 2030. And she hasn't done herself any favors in public appearances since that shock security failure in Pennsylvania on last weekend. Cheatle said in an interview on ABC News days after the shooting that agents did not secure the roof from which the assassin fired because, 'That building in particular has a sloped roof, at its highest point... And so, there's a safety factor that would be considered there that we wouldn't want to put somebody up on a sloped roof.'

Critics, like former FBI Assistant Director Chris Swecker said that explanation was 'absurd.'

Damning <snip>

So Chloe “Chicongo” Tzang wants MORE government spending and BIGGER government. (Funding cuts contributed to the Secret Service staffing issues.)

Cool, cool.

There is already a thread on this.

I don't think anyone has said he's "sharp as a tack". Pretty much everyone I know has acknowledged that he's not the man he used to be. That does not mean he is ready to be put out to pasture or that he's approaching life as a potato. Not even close.

Which @adrina should we listen to? The pro-democrat or the anti-republican? 🤔

He has no business being there. If we can cap air traffic controllers and have set retirement ages for other things, we have no business having 75+ year olds running the American government.
