Which of your characters is least like you?

Hmm. Had to really think about this one, because there is a little of the Real Me in almost all my male characters. Even if it's just something simple.

That said, there are a few:

Mike, from My Sister's Skincare. He's a popular, muscular, good looking college jock. In real life at his age I was a tall, skinny, nerdy introvert.

Danny, from Riders On The Storm. Danny is a monster, a psychopath. Definitely not me.

Big Willy, from Elves Gone Wild. Forget that he's an elf. He's also arrogant, rude, patronizing, misogynistic and completely full of himself.

The only part of him that's me is he's also a wise cracking asshole. I can be that guy sometimes .

Well, I have four main characters (although my V-Day story introduced a fifth -- seemingly Devinter's favorite!!):

Freya, Alex, Cynthia, and Katie

I wish I was "Story Freya" instead of boring "Real Life Freya." But maybe there some of me in her.
Alex is a dude... But caring and a good, solid "rock" for Freya's nuttiness, so maybe a little of me there.
Cynthia is loud and brash. Definitely not me!! But she's funny, so a little of me.
Katie... Lovely Katie... I think she's most like me. Personality-wise, of course. Not the lesbian thing. The sweet, scared, eager-to-please, quiet, confused, loving, timid, deep side of her.

Now, for someone much more forward than myself, here's the next topic for discussion (to ENSURE that people are reading your stories!): Which of my characters is your favorite and why?

Every character I have here are hardly like me at all. The closest would be the guy in Subway Ride, only because of the dreads and love of cycling, and transwomen.

What kinda cycling you do? I did a bit of mountain biking back in the day. Nothing too crazy.

My tentacle alien (well the male one) is very like someone I know (well a rather twisted caricature of him anyway).

I'd say my hard-boiled Mike Hammer spoof detective Sonny Biggs, from BTB, Incorporated, is as unlike me as any of my characters.

I’ve never got excited by hard-boiled. General noire, yes. And I’ll make an exception for Bogart. Would watch anything with him in.

Least like me?? Well, now that I actually think about it, they all have MAJOR elements of their personalities that are like me. If I don't veer off into a minor character that pops up once, I would say that Alex is least like me. He's fine, but a little boring. In real life, I am anything but boring.

I also missed the "the same sex" bit. That kind of leaves me stumped. Most of my male characters... no wait, *all* my male characters are clueless victims.

Perhaps the nameless narrator in Lust Demon's Orgy. Even so, he's a bit unsuspecting. For an incubus.

If you constrain yourself to characters that share your gender and are broadly in your age range, is there one that stands out to you as being very different?

I guess I have two. Na-ri in the last two episodes of The Coleoidphila Trilogy. She obviously has a different ethnic background, but also a different personality. Then Megan in Your Love’s Whore, who really is in many ways my polar opposite in looks and behavior.

I have older women in other stories, Lucy and Miss Shapiro in Heaven & Hole. Ava in Mors Immatura. Both Paula and Lucia in Jacob’s Progress. And Harper and Laura in Harper’s Progress. But I ruled these out. I also ruled out supporting characters like Elena and Whitney in Heaven & Hole.

Most of my incest characters are not me. They’re created because my husband thinks the situation is sexy. however the sluttiness of a character is always based on the slut I am or want to be.

my husband has no desire for anyone in his family. He wants to be a third with an incest couple.

Interesting question. If I adhere closely to the rules, none of my characters qualify. There's generally just one male character in my stories, and he's essentially me, but me when I was roughly college age (which I am, roughly, not). Even beyond the age thing, though, he's not really like me - he's just kind of the guy who might play me in a porno.
