If you constrain yourself to characters that share your gender and are broadly in your age range, is there one that stands out to you as being very different?

I guess I have two. Na-ri in the last two episodes of The Coleoidphila Trilogy. She obviously has a different ethnic background, but also a different personality. Then Megan in Your Love’s Whore, who really is in many ways my polar opposite in looks and behavior.

I have older women in other stories, Lucy and Miss Shapiro in Heaven & Hole. Ava in Mors Immatura. Both Paula and Lucia in Jacob’s Progress. And Harper and Laura in Harper’s Progress. But I ruled these out. I also ruled out supporting characters like Elena and Whitney in Heaven & Hole.

How about you?

Most of my female characters are more than a bit older than me, so that kind of narrows it down.
Tara the FMC in the story I'm working on now is probably the most different. She's a shade older than me, but she's very manipulative.

Well I did just write a James Bond parody in Celebrities and Fanfiction, so probably him.

Of the major characters in my Virginiaverse stories, Bonnie is least like me. She is in every way what I wish I was and am not.

Definitely Xelari (the primary love interest of the main character) in my Drowning at Dusk series. Largely because of how cruel she can be (which is definitely the point of the character arc as she grows and develops a relationship), but also how secretive she can be. A large part of her character is how much she hides from the people she cares about, and that's not really something I can do.

Every character I have here are hardly like me at all. The closest would be the guy in Subway Ride, only because of the dreads and love of cycling, and transwomen.

I hope Jerrod from The Roommate from Hell is least like me. He's based on a real roommate I had in college who more than lived up to that label, and no s**t, the real guy was just as manipulative and sadistic in every last thing he ever did and said as in the story. The only good thing I can say about that experience is that it taught me it was okay not to take yourself too seriously - in fact, it was best not to. Kent from The Jimmy Soul Memorial Party was based on the same guy, but he wasn't quite as pure a reflection.

I should probably add an honorable mention for Dave from the D Cup Blues stories. He is everything I wish I had been at 18: excellent student, on decent terms with (what's left of) his family, doesn't let the horrors of his past get him bogged down in the present, and a member of a very tight-knit, otherwise all-female circle of friends. You couldn't exactly say I was the opposite of all that, but none of it is as true as I wish it had been.

I assume we're not counting tentacle aliens as characters?

I'd say my hard-boiled Mike Hammer spoof detective Sonny Biggs, from BTB, Incorporated, is as unlike me as any of my characters.

Avilia, from my series The Rivals.

She's a happy-go-lucky, leap-before-you-look adrenaline junkie who relies on quick wits and fast reflexes to get her out of trouble. That's pretty much everything I'm not.

All the male characters, that are young, handsome and in great shape. Thanks for asking.

My recurring MC is very handsome with an extremely muscular body and a huge, outlying penis almost down to his knees. The characters that I am *most* unlike, however, are probably the ladies in my stories. 😉😋

Lizzie, in a Desiderare.

The story is written in limited third person from Lizzie's point of view. She's in her late twenties, a tall slim blonde, so not at all me.

I'm even more audacious in my Pink Orchid piece, which is being written from an 18½ year old girl's point of view. Set in my old university residential college, it's inspired by some real events, and a lost opportunity. One of my "nostalgic erotica" pieces, the young male lead is basically me, doing things I never did, but dreamed of doing. I did do the stupid stuff. It's not finished yet...

Brad, in an early story called "Trust Me."

It was written for the very little humor it provided in the last line. A brother/sister who were fraternal twins, it's all about Brad seeing his frumpy twin in a bikini for the first time and finding out she's very sexy, so he spends the rest of the story making her another of his 'conquests,' using the phrase "trust me" to assure her that he was acting on her best interests. In the end, she ends up pregnant (after him telling her that she can't get pregnant on her first time), and as she tosses the positive pregnancy test to her still-not-believing brother, he asks, "Are you sure?"

She answers, "Trust me."

If I were ever to take stories down, this would be the first, even though it has a decent rating. It's not representative of most of my other works.

Which of my characters is least like me? Hard to say. I have a few recurring Hollywood stars, a pair of foster twin sisters in love with each other, a faerie alien hybrid, a psychologist who’s also a nymphomaniac, a playboy cop slash entertainment mogul, various sexy ethnic badasses, incompetent villains… they’re all somewhat similar to me because I wrote them. But they’re different too.

I dont appear in 95% of my stories. There are two that are autobiographical of sorts (The two I appear in). As such I am least like most of my characters :)

I endeavour to persevere to be unlike any of my characters. Some of them are women, so that's a start...

Tiny pieces of myself make it into some of my characters, but there's none that I would say is particularly similar to my real self. So the one's least like myself is basically all of them, with perhaps the exception of Marcellus from "The (un)lucky Girl" which is the only character I've based a little bit on myself intentionally A similar thing occurred in another story as well but that one isn't published.

Amusingly, the closest character to my real self on Literotica is in @Kelliezgirl 's story Black ties and green dresses in which a particular character is greatly inspired by me. I was incredibly honoured when I showed up in one of her stories! 💙

If you weren't so busy I'd try and talk you into writing part 2.
