Friends,
You are an attractive, available woman. One Saturday, you meet three men at a party thrown by a girlfriend who happens to know you and your tastes extremely well. You find all three attractive. So you are not surprised Tuesday evening when you find a message from each of them on your answering machine. You know they are all good friends with each other and won’t beat each other’s time. Plus, they are attractive and won’t last long. So it’s unlikely that you could go out with each of them in turn. Which do you choose to go out with and possibly drag back to your cave for an erotic relationship? (These are all based on real people).

I want the guy who... will sit outside and talk to me while I work in the garden...laugh(not get upset) when I throw dirt on him for no reason at all....wear his slippers to the store (like me hehe)....will get me a roomful of balloons just because I asked for them...will plan to stay up all night talking to me because I complain that we don't spend anytime together and then not get upset because I fall asleep after the first 10 minutes....put up with every mood swing, outburst, and irrational moment and still come back for more... call me back after I hang up on him...make me laugh when I want to cry and give me his shoulder when I need to....will endure my disfunctional family meals and not act like he is being sent into combat (even though that is kinda what it is like)...will get up early Sunday even after working hard all week long (without complaining) to go to church with me not because I asked him to but because he wants to...

I would look elsewhere. Those three sound very boring. The first sounds like a control freak. Second one, an egomaniac and with the third, his "work" would always come first.

I have no doubt of your sincerity--or that this is what women say and think they want.

But in my experience, many (most?) women who get a man like this think he is a wimp and not good enough for them. This guy sounds like a pet dog--been there done that. The guy that's puts up with all the garbage (--not all of it is, but a good part) and won't stand up for the value of his own time, is halfway out the door.

Sounds like something out of GoodHousekeeping. I think this is the stuff women tell each other and men.

I don't believe a word of it.

You are placing a lot of value on looks and sucess here. While that might have something to do with a woman's choice, it's not everything. It's how a man makes her feel about herself. And some women dig the "bad" boy, while others really like the "nice" guy.

This is really too limiting. I mean, whose to say that you couldn't go out with all 3? It's been done before. You tellin' me these guys are gonna be snatched up by Wednesday? Hey, if they really want to spend some time with me, they will be willing to compete with each other to do just that.

But I have to agree with JuicyLips. None of the 3 really inspire me to return their call. Heck, to even give out my phone number! #1 is just B O R I N G!!! All work and no play! #2 is a player - and I've never regretted the fact that I didn't sleep witha man. Just not worth it, cuz there are too many out there worthy of the effort. #3 might be the only one who stands a chance, simply because I have a tendency to go for the more creative types.

You are right, there are a million guys in Orange Cty like #1. He is based on a very good friend of mine. He's got a great sense of humor but he does work a lot. Right now has a great wife, 4 kids, terrific Dad. They live in a nice house near the beach in San Clemente. A pretty happy life and he has given a lot of people employment.

Number 2 is a Kennedy. I have never seen such intense charisma. The truth is, in person, women find him terribly attractive. I'm sure he gets a lot of returned calls even though you correctly identify him as a player.

Number 3 is a good friend of mine. He's very interesting. However, he is completely unreliable. I am sure he's pretty fun in bed and very sensitive, but he's awful with money--debt; rarely there on time, may or may not return a call.
