When a relationship ends ...

What do you do? Keep to yourself and brood about what went wrong? Do you go out and get drunk? Do a little jiggy dance? Go to a karaoke bar and sing your heart out?

I gotta say I'm so tempted by that last option.

Well, I'm in my 30s and I already have the only child I'm ever going to have. So, the end of a relationship, at this point in my life, isn't terribly significant. I'm not looking for any ostensibly life-long commitments. I have much more pressing concerns on my mind, like spending as much time as I can with my kid while she's still living at home, and making sure that she gets into a top tier university. So, in answer to the original question, I suppose that after a break-up I either initiate something with a new woman or reestablish contact with one I already know.

You can try all of the above and see what works best for you. Hope is important and it depends how strong your love was. Some day you will just look back and smile. No regrets :)

What? No licks? No asking for towels? *LOL*

Thank you anyway for the sage advice and yes, no regrets :)

I hardly know you, and you can say likewise. I was going through same thing not so long ago... I think I'm good, yeah I'll be just fine :D

as for licks and towels, I got both, *licks his arm* I might take a cat bath now...

Has anyone ever told you that you're incorrigible? *LOL*

Oh dear, is this where I fill in the blanks. I'm awful at filling in the blanks.

There's no easy solution, I've always been able to write out a great deal of my pain by writing poems of how it will be when next true love I find. I've also learned to do things alone I did in a relationship. treating myself to a movie, dinner etc. The hardest part is letting time heal the hurt
