I gotta say I'm so tempted by that last option.
Well, I'm in my 30s and I already have the only child I'm ever going to have. So, the end of a relationship, at this point in my life, isn't terribly significant. I'm not looking for any ostensibly life-long commitments. I have much more pressing concerns on my mind, like spending as much time as I can with my kid while she's still living at home, and making sure that she gets into a top tier university. So, in answer to the original question, I suppose that after a break-up I either initiate something with a new woman or reestablish contact with one I already know.
