What's your favorite trope?

Mine is the Martian Slut Ray. You know, the trope in which women suddenly, and for no apparent reason, become wildly libidinous and throw themselves at people outside their relationships. There is, naturally, a desire on Mars for continuous improvement of the Ray, with research teams tirelessly committed to making Earthling women do more and weirder things with even less likely partners.

Yeah, everyone gets tired of reading this over and over, but I still delved into it. There’s the competition among research organizations on Mars, and the pervasive industrial espionage and reverse engineering (with honey-pot sex traps to steal secrets). There’s the government that funds the research, because Earthlings are getting ever closer to sending astronauts to Mars, and eventually claiming the whole planet. There’s fear throughout the Martian populace that their civilization, which went underground when the planet’s surface became uninhabitable, will be invaded by Earthlings. There are the great Martian thinkers, who believe that if Earthlings can be made to have more sex, they won’t have the time or the desire to explore Mars.

And then there are the worn-out subplots: The group of Earthlings (mostly women) who send a team to Mars to sabotage the Rays (so Earthling women can regain the ability to decide when and how to have sex), and the group of Earthlings (mostly men) who try to stop this group, and/or share with Martians their own ideas for improving the Rays. There are the disenchanted Martian researchers who decide they have no business interfering with Earthling sex, and the secret police hunting them down. There are the Martians who like the idea of Earthling invasion, because they want to have sex with Earthlings. And there are the research teams on Earth, trying to boost the power of their Earthling Slut Rays to penetrate below the surface of Mars, and make Martians have more and weirder sex, to be captured on security cameras and provide new content for porn sites.

Sadly, I wrote all of this under a different moniker, on a site which later collapsed, while my computer and backup storage were erased by a Venusian Hacker Ray.

This sounds unironically like it would make for an amazing Sci Fi/Action & Adventure/Spy Thriller/Erotica series. Get off this forum and get writing!

What is your absolute favorite erotica trope to write? The plot line that's been done a billion times but you still want to put your own twists and turns on it?
SECRET BABY!!!

OK, technically that's a romance trope and not one you see too commonly, but I love to put my own adulterous spin on this trope in a lot of my stories, some here on Literotica and others published as ebooks. In those cases, the secret isn't the baby herself, but rather her true paternity. DUN! DUN! DUUUUUUUUN!!!

I'm also partial to a particularly insidious version of the Martian Slut Ray developed by an elite team of Mars's top scientists who decided to forego rayguns as their method of delivery in favor of altering the semen of especially virile Earthling men. When delivered vaginally, the chemical version of the Martian Slut Ray causes Earthling women to succumb to the exact same effects without the risk of the latest slutray gun with its valuable Martian technology falling into Earthling hands.

The neglected and under-appreciated mature woman and the young man she finds who's more than happy to treat her like she wants and deserves.

Favourite rope? I dunno, I kind of like a black nylon 12m, it's all-purpose, and I've never slipped a mooring with it, but that's down to my knot-craft too.

Friends to lovers. It's a super easy way to get two characters to an emotionally resonant place without going through all the minutiae of their dating, etc. The bigger problem is usually "why not before now," but there's plenty of easy ways out there.
I wanted to recommend a book for you. I thought I'd find the name in this post. But no. Anyway, it's by Margaret Maron, one of the middle ones in the series about the South Carolina (North Carolina??) country judge. If you're interested, DM me, and I'll research a little further.

Don't I wish!! I've spent several years searching for stories featuring my trope, but have only found less than a handful.

Like @MyBareTorso, I only write one thing.

A good looking, self aware, self accepting man finds himself in the M side of an S&M situation. He might have chosen a sex club, or he might be a captive in some war situation, or... or... There is no relationship with another involved. I've lately decided that my male MCs are not involved with anyone because I want them for myself. :)

I neglected to mention Pay 2 Play. Any scenario where a woman is having sex for money does it for. Porn star, escort, being talked into sex for money...its all good.
