When I was younger it was the 21st. Lately I've been leaning towards the 14th, although the 4th has always held a special place in my heart.

The 16th is by far my least favorite.
 
it's a tie between 2nd and 1st. call me boring, i fuckin' dare ya!

Long-Lost Constitution

WASHINGTON, DC

Lost for nearly two years, the U.S. Constitution was found Tuesday behind a couch in the Governor's Reception Room. "Wow, I forgot all about that thing," said U.S. Sen. Chris Dodd (D-CT), who found the historic document while vacuuming. "Nobody knew what happened to it. Guess it must've fallen back there during a meeting." After making the find, Dodd spent several minutes rereading some of his favorite old amendments.
 
Article [XIX].

The right of citizens of the United States to vote shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any State on account of sex.


Gives me the right to bitch about politicans...

Amendment IX

The enumeration in the Constitution, of certain rights, shall not be construed to deny or disparage others retained by the people.
 
I think that the XIIth is usally forgoten about between predidential elections, and then it is disparaged mightly. However, it is this admendment more than any other that keeps this the most stable republic in history. By moving the election to the people's repenitives, it moves the office a step away from a popularity contest, and that has been a good thing for the vast majority of our history. It provides protection from the absublute tyrany of a popular mob.
 
Article XII

The Electors shall meet in their respective states, and vote by ballot for President and Vice-President, one of whom, at least, shall not be an inhabitant of the same state with themselves; they shall name in their ballots the person voted for as President, and in distinct ballots the person voted for as Vice-President, and they shall make distinct lists of all persons voted for as President, and of all persons voted for as Vice-President, and of the number of votes for each, which lists they shall sign and certify, and transmit sealed to the seat of the government of the United States, directed to the President of the Senate;--The President of the Senate shall, in the presence of the Senate and House of Representatives, open all the certificates and the votes shall then be counted;--The person having the greatest number of votes for President, shall be the President, if such number be a majority of the whole number of Electors appointed; and if no person have such majority, then from the persons having the highest numbers not exceeding three on the list of those voted for as President, the House of Representatives shall choose immediately, by ballot, the President. But in choosing the President, the votes shall be taken by states, the representation from each state having one vote; a quorum for this purpose shall consist of a member or members from two-thirds of the states, and a majority of all the states shall be necessary to a choice. And if the House of Representatives shall not choose a President whenever the right of choice shall devolve upon them, before the fourth day of March next following, then the Vice-President shall act as President, as in the case of the death or other constitutional disability of the President. (See Note 14)--The person having the greatest number of votes as Vice-President, shall be the Vice-President, if such number be a majority of the whole number of Electors appointed, and if no person have a majority, then from the two highest numbers on the list, the Senate shall choose the Vice-President; a quorum for the purpose shall consist of two-thirds of the whole number of Senators, and a majority of the whole number shall be necessary to a choice. But no person constitutionally ineligible to the office of President shall be eligible to that of Vice-President of the United States.

The first - without recognition and protection of the right to free speech, the rest are kind of meaningless.

It is the second that protects the rest...speaking your truth means nothing when they can take you away in the night for saying it...the second balances the power between the people and the government.

How come?

We have noticed that no one has spoke up for the most misunderstood and most trampeled on admendment..........The mighty SECOND.In case Your forgetting:
" A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed."
Although short, it is as important to freedom as any other amendment and, sadly, the one that is abused most by the uninformed and narrow minded liberals that have tried to screw us out of our right to defend our homes and love ones. When ever We hear another so called expert say the best way to handle an attack on ones person is to submit and remain passive Our skin crawls. WE dont know if thats sound advice. BUT WE DONT CALL 911.
You can be damn sure, if Our family has decided to eat at McDonalds and some freak decides they are pissed at the world and shooting everyone there will solve their problem. We are shooting back. ( It may not solve their problem but it damn sure will solve OURS!)
As a member of this society We have decided to break a law We find unjust and unconstitutional. ( i wont tell you which one, We live in california, you figure it out)
