What's for dinner?

Tonight lettuce wraps and twice fried noodles. Courtesy of my generous and hungry daughter. :rose: Woo hoo!

Last night it turned out to be spaghetti and salad.

Caprese Salad (in other words, sliced tomato with a little olive oil, salt and pepper, basil and fresh mozerella), and some stuffed mushrooms.

And wine. The wine was nice, too. ;)

Huh. I am normally a bigger meat eater. No meat today. *blinks*
I expect I'll make up for it tomorrow. lol

Bumping this today cuz i couldn't find the "what are you eating" thread.

Last night was made to order breakfast for dinner night. I had eggs with a little bit of cheese in them that were purposely over cooked (food allergy...cant eat runny yolk), bacon that was partly chewy & partly crispy, english muffins with butter, & a glass of orange juice.

I cant recall the name of the place, but the best breakfast I ever had was in Chicago, I think it was just outside the loop.

You know, when it comes to NY vs Chicago American style food, Chicago wins hands down.

We went to one of those Japanese steakhouse & sushi bars. My favorite parts of the meal were the plum wine, shumai, and a dish that was a spicy oven toasted scallop in it's shell mixed with crabmeat.

Conchiglie bolognese. My husband prefers spaghetti to conchiglie, but since he's gone to have a nap and I'm the one cooking, I get to decide.

Sunday cooked breakfast, sausage ,bacon, egg, mushroom, black pudding and a big pot of tea.

I didn't realise food was a thread here, I already said what I was having in the favourite things thread.....

Kangaroo. Well, a toasted kangaroo and chilli sandwich to be exact!

Yummy yummy yummy!

I cooked a large thing of swordfish with garlic mashed potatoes made from Swedish creamer potatoes, fresh chicken gravy, and steamed green beans.

Today however I'm going to this little place that serves (the smallest size) one pound cheese burgers, alligator tail, and rock lobster.

Last night I made whole wheat penne with zuchinni, kalamata olives, cherry tomatoes, feta, and chicken sausage.

tonight i had a large cod and chips with mushy peas

and apple pie flavoured icecream to

round it off yum yum :D

picking up clam chowder and shrimp and garlic over linguini from Legal Seafoods in 20 min. I'm looking forward to it...

Sometime you might want to treat yourself to a visit to the No Name Restaurant on Fish Pier. My experience is that their worst nights would blow away Legal Seafoods' best, though ymmv.

Ikea frozen dinner.

Don't laugh. We're very caught between recievables broke at the moment, and it feels oddly socialist and comforting to find our ignored christmas gift certificates and spend them on food.

Ok, so we had sour cream FREE taco's. I didn't realize until too late that the sour cream was green.
