What's for breakfast

Breakfast is my favorite meal! During the week a couple of biscuits, plain, and a cup of coffee will do. On the weekend I eat wonderful pancakes and oranges sauce. Pancakes make me giggle and my toes curl up.

a meat pie and coke is not bad either :)

ever notice that coke seems to be a great breakfast food?

Mine would be eggs in a basket (sourdough toast with an egg cooked over medium in the middle, for the lay reader), some Cracker Barrel hashbrown casserole (cheesey with onion - yum!), and a big ol' glass of OJ. :D Yum!!

Runner up would probably be French toast with maple syrup and a big glass of skim milk.

But... most days I eat a bowl of cereal for breakfast. Or the occasional kolache.

(*waits for someone to ask what a "kolache" is*)

Red Rose...are you Czech or Slovak?...I ask because of the word Kolache...:)

Lemon??? On pancakes???

ewwwwwwwwwwww
Lol, what's wrong with that.

I've had that loads of time. A twist of freshly squeezed lemon juice on pancakes can be nice.

The classic recipe for crepe suzette includes orange juice, after all.

Pancakes...about the only fancy thing I put in them is some vanilla in the batter. Some sausage on the side is groovy. The girl who makes pancakes for me gets many, many gold stars.

But only REAL kolaches... Cherry, poppyseed, cheese (my mom used to make them w/brown sugar and cottage cheese), NOT those take a sausage and cheese, wrap them in pastry and sell them at Shipley's kolaches!!!!!

I haven't had a good kolachky (that's how I pronounce it) for years! My Grandma made the best, and I've never been able to duplicate the recipe, I think she told it to me wrong..heh

I love going out for breakfast, or having it cooked for me. I usually like eggs and bacon with hash browns.
