Besides family and friends what really matters? Does it matter that Bush is President? Is your life any different than when Clinton was President?Mine isnt, Doesnt matter who is President really, People rail against Ashcroft,Is he any worse than Reno? The fact is no matter who is in power our lives at a certain level do not change. In 100 years there will be all new people here. So what really matters to you?

Ok Riff Im curious,In what way do the current occupants affect your life?What has the current people in power done any different than the past people? did you find what happened in WACO loathsome? Or what happened with Elian Gonzalas loathsome? See, when I watched those people storm that house in Florida It dawned on me that my government would do that to any of us if they wanted . So to me it doesnt matter whos in power. Now gotta go get my kids, They matter to me!

A well-kept lawn. One free of the unruly liberal element. The sneaking, encroaching crabgrass. Since you said besides family and friends (which would be at the top of my list...)

I guess I would say that what really matters is being true to one's own self. Having a set of values, a philosophy, that I live by. Things more often than not that were learned the hard way. Things I'm still learning.

I have beliefs about what is right, what is important. I really try and live by those beliefs, sometimes more sucessfully than others.

Those beliefs are not necessarily the same for each person. But, whatever they are, trying to be true to them is what really matters.

You are fairly ungrateful, Riff. Bush did send you on that cruise with your tax reduction, remember?

Speaking of that, my life IS different with Bush in office as opposed to Clinton. I did my tax returns today and I owe less than I thought on the Federal return thanks to the lower rates in place from Bush.

How I keep the earth matters to me. I am not a total protectionist, but am disturbed when making more money gets in the way of taking care of the earth.

Taking care of people matters to me and being careful of others matters to me.

Any political policy that is damaging to these beliefs matters to me. Politically who is not as important to me as what.

You worked on those taxes for a while, Cheyenne.

You can say THAT again! My own Fed return took me quite awhile when I did it a week ago. Then I just did my state return and two more returns for family members. Haven't had to do a Schedule C in quite awhile so I had some reading to do to get ready, first.

BUT, as my point was for Riff, the fed returns were both lower tax totals in the end than I expected. I love the new tax rates.

And now they are DONE and ready for the mail! Yea!
