make changes in your life?

Whether it's changing jobs, going back to school, ending or beginning a relationship, having a child, etc.

Are there still goals in your life that you need motivation to reach?

Tell me.

Good Morning!

Good morning to you too Juicylips!

I'm not personally a big fan of change.. Normally I change only when it's forced upon me, as it has been recently. I had a nice, comfortable little rut going in my life and then my life burned down so now either I sit in the ashes lamenting what I had or I change and move on to find something new, y'know?

For me its been a process of growing, changing who I was when I came out of my marriage into someone I could be proud of.

With the support of special people in my life I followed my dream and went back to school.

Good morning JL

I need some change.

Gotta buy a cup of coffee.

Morning lovely JL.

Yes, I do know. It usually takes something rather drastic to realize we are even in a rut. We akin a rut to being safe.

Nice to see you posting, M.

You need to buy a cup of coffee? You've got enough coffee to take us through the apocalypse.:D

Yeah, LDF said she met you (I think). Things went really sour there for a long time and it hurt to be here cuz it hurt to see her, y'know? Definitely good to be back though.

I think the only thing that ultimately motivates me to change is the absolute need for (said) modification.

Sink or swim, you know?

That is true. HA!

I was just avoiding the other change :D

I will have my degree in Social Work that will allow me to take what I have been through in my life to help others.

I have found that sometimes it helps if people know that you are approaching them from a point of having been there yourself, it shows greater understanding.......sometimes.

It's my loss that she and I have never met. I do miss seeing her post here. I've thought of her often. :rose:

Knowing her she's probably still coming on and looking from time to time. She's pretty tied up being a mod on another board now.

Save me from ever being a board moderator again *shudders and has flashbacks*

Sometimes it takes a while to realize you're in that kind of "sink or swim" situation.

Every new beginning comes from some other beginning's end.

That's how the song goes, anyway.

Sometimes it's forced upon us and all we can do is just accept it and move on.

Smoocheroonies, Juicy one

Hugs and lots of kisses, foxylicious.

Thank you so much for listening.

Good Morning!

Motivation to make changes in my life usually comes out of the fact that something in it is missing. That I feel I need something more and then I search for it. Mostly it happens when I've gone through something which has made me grow as a person, and then some changes may be uninvitable.

I'm young, I've got heaps of goals before me. LOL I just need to get motivated for it...hehe

Hi beautiful

All the major changes in my life have occurred because I willed them to, I have been fortunate to have never lost a parent or a child as yet so haven't had to deal with that type of change imposed.

I am currently unemployed, my choice, I had a high profile exec role that was frankly, shitting me, so I walked out, it may be months before I have a job again, I was paid out well enough that this doesn't cause a issue, but as you know I also have a wedding and honeymoon to pay for etc.....

That's pretty typical of my life, I don't live with a safety net, and have no wish for one, I trust in myself, my capabilities and my friends and family to ensure that my life is full of happy middles and a great ending.....

I have yet to be disappointed, plenty of ups and downs, but the ups are in front.;)

My goals revolve around both current and future happiness, for my and mine, anything that furthers those is a "goal".

Oh and I nearly forgot

*stalk*

Sigh.

You are so focused! I envy that. By having goals and the self confidence to work towards them, you are sooooo far ahead of the game.

It sometimes takes a clear cut moment to make me take action.

I've always been heavy, gotten more so over the past year. It's never stopped me from dating or feeling attractive enough to get dates... but when it interfered with my job - that made me decide to join a gym... That, and being at a point in my life where that's possible, financially, and time-wise, and such things...

Not a well-phrased answer, but I might come back to this later.

I know you've probably been asked this before, but are your av's self portraits?

I have two things that motivate me one is a little 11 year old girl back in Nashville the other is sitting about 2 feet from me. :)

Morning JL:rose:

Vision..

I have a vision of how I want my life to be, the people in it, and how I enjoy it.
All decisions are made with that vision in mind, I just line them up to accomplish it.
If I'm in a bad relationship, I end it for both of us to grow.
My employment has been shakey due to the Boeing long term strategy, but I'm willing to change my employment to take a step back until I find my direction.
Of course, financial security is part of that vision.

Good Morning!

Necessity is my motivation. I had to get downsized out of a good job to force me to hunt for a better one more than a decade ago. I never would have left on my own, I'd have worked myself to death first. I'd have seen leaving on my own as giving up.

As for beginning a relationship, I think age finally played a role in pushing me to be more open. I looked ahead 20 years or so and didn't particularly look forward to what I saw. So, I changed.

Goals left that I need motivation to reach? No, not really.
