What makes for a good thread killer?

Besides bearing the soft, characterless, singularly non-erotic name of "Ellie Talbot?"

Thus far, I'm mostly an observer here at the GB, and can't figure it out. I see interesting threads drop off all the time with a whimper, and asinine ones that have no problem staying afloat.

So, just what makes a thread killer? Are we just flat, uninteresting people?

Or is it just an unlucky soul who happens to be the last poster on a thread that's all talked out?

Someone who makes a statement no one can argue with?

I'm not trying to copy the "thread killa" thread... just wondering what makes us what we are.

I think a thread dies when it's been all talked out, or people can't think of enough witty comment to keep it going. Sometimes a thread dies because it's on at the wrong time of day.

Sometimes a thread dies because I started it. :p

Sometimes it just bad timing. But threads never really die here sometimes they get revived after many comatose months(or years).
