Things that made me smile or laugh today:
My eight mile hike to "Castle Greyskull" up in the mountains north of town. Then making jokes about Skeletor and He-man.
A beautiful girl I saw on the trail to Castle Greyskull who I secretly wished would make me Her submissive toy. (Not like I would ever TELL someone that. Just...no.)
That beige-orange car that looks like a big orange cat, that I always see at the drive-thru restaurant. I call it "Garfield." Because it literally looks like a giant stuffed Garfield. I even told it's owner that once. I think he works there or something.
Chinese Food.
Buying a guitar amp to go with the guitar I'm giving my friend's kid for his 18th birthday, because he was born to rock.
Best of all: Seeing a live band play in their front yard, with neighbors standing around watching and listening. Because it's been many months since anyone in my town has been able to see or listen to live music that wasn't just on TV playing in front of an empty hall. Out of everything, THAT was the best part of the day.

I see you there and I like how you think! I’m just going tuck that delightful little three word combo away until I have some quiet time to play that one out for myself. Something tells me it’s quickly gonna get out of hand and involve some risky business with sharp things, mhmm....
Other things that made me smile today - the Mother’s Day card my kidlets slaved over for hours, with the sweetest messages inside and an adorable, serious looking, ginger Scottish fold kitten on the front (the boy child really does know me well!) The little one kept insisting it was ugly, but I thought it was perfect.
Also, the phone call with my mum going well. Nice, pleasant, only positive ramblings (and not so much either) with a bit of vulnerability thrown in on both our parts. This can work.
Happy Mother’s Day to all the mothers in here - even if it’s not your countries Mothers Day today I invite you to celebrate with me anyway coz we could all do with a bit of celebrating, always!
