What is the last thing that made you feel scared?

For me it's kinda silly. You remember that ghost story about the girl who had like a ribbon around her neck or a necklace that she would never take off and when her boyfriend does one day her head falls off?

Someone just told such a story in a LOVE SONG. I just felt unsettled by such a disturbing visual.

Watching a full sized GMC truck go from 60 mph to a full stop in about 10 feet.

A full blown bar fight. 75-125 people getting it on. Chairs thrown across the bar hitting people at random, bottles being used as knives, and the bartender getting beat with his own cash register. I ran out of pepper spray 30 people got arrested.

So long as no one dies or is seriously hurt I would like to participate in just one of those before I die. The adrenaline rush of being in the midst of all that chaos must be marvelous.

Yeah...if taking candy from strangers isn't bad enough..taking it from them in an email is even more frightening...

The last time I was scared was when I was 16. I had contracted bronchitis, then it advanced to pneumonia. Being young and dumb, I assumed that I could push through it, but instead I suffered a severe asthma attack, followed by 3-4 more in the 20 minutes it took my mother to drive me to the hospital. In between desperate attempts to inhale though an opening the size of a straw, I was throwing up violently. I blacked out at one point, and had an out-of-body experience. By the time I got to the hospital, I had turned blue, and along with the fluid in my lungs I was vomiting up, were blood and bits of bronchial and possibly lung tissue. When they tested my blood oxygen content, it was within a few points of the level when nerve and brain damage become likely.
Luckily, I recovered completely, even though it took me almost a year to get back to 100%...and nothing else has really been able to scare me since.

The adrenaline rush was the greatest "high" ever. Trust me, it's better watching it on TV than being there.

About 3 days ago, my new next door neighbor came over and told me that his house had just been broken into. I told him that I had just gotten home from work and hadn't been here to notice anything strange.

Later that night when I was getting out of the shower, I heard a screech and a loud thump from my backyard. I was totally terrified. I froze and listened with my heart in my throat...and then realized that the wind had blown my back gate open and it was banging against the fence. Nothing in the world could make me go outside and latch it.

My oldest son has seizures that he should have 'outgrown' 5 years ago. The last time he had one (this last June), I looked out the window and saw him lying under the swingset, unconscious. The seizures terrify me each time, but seeing him there on the ground like that, was something I'll never be able to get out of my head.

news of the making of Rocky 6 scared me. The popularity of the Anna Nicole Smith show scares me as well.

two days ago...driving on the ice when it started raining and froze instantly on the road. cars were just sliding everywhere.

they closed the roads and everyone sat for over an hour until the salt trucks got there...
