Scenario: You're an adult living away from home. You meet someone new in Lit and get to supposedly "know" them a little bit, get to flirting with them, and as the flirting increases, you finally decide to cyber with them. Cybersex with them is wonderful the first time, so you agree to meet up with them again. The two of you click right from the start, and the relationship builds over time. The sex is amazing, detailed and delicious, that person really knows exactly what to say to get you over the top, it's the best you've ever had onilne, you've shared your wildest fantasies with this person, and you're ready to take that next step to phone sex. You ask for their phone number, and...it sounds familiar.

What do you do if...

For the men, it turns out to be:
1) your 16 year old sister who lives at home

2) your mother, who is supposedly happily married

3) your SO using the comp at home while you're at work (or vice versa if you're in a relationship)

4) another one of your relatives

5) your SO's best friend (if you're in a relationship)

6) your best friend's SO

For the women, it turns out to be:
1) your happily married older brother

2) your father, who i supposedly happily married

3) your SO using the comp at home while you're at work (or vice versa if you're in a relationship)

4) another one of your relatives

5) your SO's best friend (if you're in a relationship)

6) your best friend's SO

Do you...
1) Stop the cyberring immediately
2) TELL the person you know who he/she is
3) Tell anyone else in the family (the woman's husband or the man's wife, etc.)
4) Continue with the cyberring, but put off the phone sex?
5) ?

It doesn't have to specifically be any of the above examples, just basically your online sex partner turns out to be someone close to you and supposedly someone forbidden to you or otherwise attached to someone you care about. What do you do?

I would most definitly,
A. freak out
B. stop the cybering immediately
C. try to act 'normal' around this person the next time I saw them.

*L*
Okay.
My story aint that bad,but it still freaked me out.

HWTHB and i had this add thingie on a contact site.
Dont ask.

Anyways,we get a reply from a guy that lives local,we exchange a few mails,he goes into detail about what he's into, his submissive, arse rimming, corporal punishment type kinks.

Then sends me a pic.

It turns out it's a guy i deal with every fucking day at work.

So i done the honorable thing.

And told him.

Well, not straight out,i kinda tortured him for 2 weeks with mail about the tie he wore to work or where he parked his car.
He knew i knew, but had no clue who *i* was.
I would talk to him at work, knowing.
And he was oblivious to it.

No i aint.

I just thought Shit, yannow? How often am i gonna be in this kinda situation.
It was kinda thrilling.
Just talking to him, like i used to do every day, became exciting.
Because i knew things about him he wouldn't tell his closest friends.
I knew so many intimate details of his life.

And he admitted afterwards, that it was exciting for him too,the not knowing who i was,but knowing i dealt with him daily. He said that every woman he spoke to,he looked at in a different way.
And that can only be a good thing.
He was living outside his *circle*,yannow?
He was paying attention to women he never woulda looked twice at before.
Wondering if any of them were me.

i think i taught him something valuable.

I just dunno what.

piss your self laughing immediately and say i really did think you were someone else.

I would know the person much better than that before the cybering started. I'd already know that this person was no one I knew in RL.

No one lies about their location or name. Never.

what a horrifying scenario...you are devilish

but you know, with the millions of people surfing out there, it's bound to happen eventually...perhaps already has

i think i'd dig a deep hole and never come out

Who me? hehe

I think it'd be so much harder if it were a younger sibling. I'm not sure what I would do either, other than stop cyberring. If it were an older sibling, I'd tell him then laugh about it. hrm, well that raises some interesting cyber-incest questions. Don't quite know what I'd do if it were my DAD, though I'd definitely never tell him. Would make sitting across from him at Thanksgiving rather odd.

If it were another relative, it would depend on who that relative was. I probably would never tell him I knew who he was.

If it were my best friend's SO, I'd stop the cyberring immediately, and yah, I'd probably tell her I'd seen him on a porn site...except she'd probably want to know how I knew it was him...hrm (or her, my last best friend was a guy...well except if I was cyberring with a girl, my best friend would probably try to get us together and watch or join in :), which would be fine!)

It would never be my SO or my SO's best friend, because if I had an SO, I wouldn't be cyberring with anyone else anyway.

The closest I've come to any of these was having phone sex with my boss once. But we were good friends at work and after work, anyway, and even with a lot of sexual teasing back and forth, nothing else ever happened. And no, I didn't charge him :p We were friends :D

I kinda had that situation - I hadn't been on the net very long and I was eager to "learn" all I could so cybered a lot to start with...

It wasn't till much later after I had stopped cybering that I was told by a family member that he had cybered with me and kept the log incase he needed "blackmail" material for a favor in the future...

It would have been bad enough if it was an innocent accident but he had purposefully looked for me on the prog I used to trick me into cybering with him...

Needless to say I was horrified that this had happened and immediately deleted all my contacts as I still didn't know under who this relative was hiding - I was far more careful in the future.

I felt dirty and used, it wasn't a pleasant feeling at all - I don't cyber any more and a lot of it is I don't trust this relative not to do it again, even though I changed my ID.

  :(
