Ah Cratchit - am so sorry - Yes I lived outside of Lewistown; worked a bit between Huntington and State College, and before I left, worked in State College.

A bunch o' gift cards, some X-mas cash, and brought home a TON o' food from X-mas lunch. :D :cool: :nana:

And got a lot of hugs, and a huge smile spending it with friends and hearing my Dad's X-mas went well. :)

I got my iPod Shuffle! :D

I also got to stay on at my Holiday job, I have a flight itinerary waiting for me for two weeks from today for a whole week with my SO, and a whole buncha gift cards.

And another cold. >.<

I still don't know what it is. I brought the envelope, and my mom just took it, only saying it had to be sent to me. :confused: We DID get a set of really nice luggage though, have enough airline miles for a free ticket, and got lots of money, so a vacation will happen either way. :)

Other than the money and luggage, I received clothes (including lingerie :D ), some good alcohol, earrings, girly stuff, and a bunch of assorted things I wanted. Hubby got a gift certificate for a romance package at an amazing local hotel from work, and there were a few more neat joint gifts. Overall, it's been a good Christmas gift-wise, but it's never about the stuff.

Very true. Best part of the holiday? Spending time with our kids, looking at old school artwork. They laughed and teased each other, and I was happy as a well-fed clam.

The quilt rack I got wasn't bad either. ;)

The right family members in our house;
The joy of assembly; :rolleyes:
Free time and an extra dose of patience; :cool:
Surviving the lead up to christmas and enjoying the actual day immensely;
Dvd burner, mp3 player and a serious pair of loppers; :devil:
Oh and an absolute boatload of chockies; :p

quoll, you're a naughty boy. :D This is a rack you hang on the wall, not the kind that hangs on your chest.

What are loppers and chockies? Translate, please. :)

Oh ok, when you said a quilt rack I thought they had extra padding. ;)

Loppers: Giant long handled secateurs, designed for maximum mayhem.

Chockies: Chocolate, and lots of it too.

Ohhh--the lightbulb clicks on---loppers. I get it now. Be careful what you lop off...ouch! ;)

I also got my very own set of screwdrivers--my first tools! I'm so proud.

Actually, MrB just hates it when I borrow his. He's very protective of his tools. :eek:

My wife did a whole 12 Days of Christmas thing. It was neat, she put a lot of thought into it. No big gifts, just cool smaller stuff. Examples of note were 10 Beers of the World for Day 10, 9 different samplers of liquors for Day 9 and a huge bag with 8 different kinds of chocolate for day 8. Day 7 was pretty cool too, it was 7 items for my sports/hobbies. Things like some cards I collect, some hockey stuff, a new video game, and a bottle of silicone lube in a Packers hat. She said the lube was for my other favorite sport, but I think there's more going on here. She's a Cowboys fan, and I think she was taunting me for being a Packers fan.

Well, watching the Pack play this year has been kinda like getting fucked without lube every weekend, I guess. :mad:

kahuna: hey, at least your team doesn't have to put up w/ jerry jones... :>

my siblings are completely out of their minds. last year, they tried to give us a broadband connection (pre-paid for a few months), but there was a problem. the service provider they went to uses software that's not sufficiently backwards compatible w/ my decrepit win98 box, which uses dial-up. there was also an issue w/ my birthday present this year. on to of that, my wife is a christmas girl (meaning her actual b-day is christmas day) so they decided to give us a joint present: a new computer.

i was rendered speechless for about a good 15 minutes.

scalywag: maybe kahuna's got a time-travel device? :>

and you know, there are things so cool that the word "cool" is just not up to the job. :nana: :D
