Shaggy and Scooby would save themselves a lot of bad situations by just buying their own Scooby Snacks.

I really need to get off of my ass and start making Christmas gifts so I can enjoy it this year

Oh, they do! Last year I waited too long and was so stressed. I stayed up until 3am Christmas morning wrapping gifts lol

I figured out the best way to know what to get for Christmas and when to get it cheap. I watch them open their presents and see how happy they are and listen to what they wished they got instead. I write that down, wait until the sales after Christmas and buy it then and put it away. Even the wrapping paper is cheaper then, so I can buy lots more for less and they're happy with what I bought them and I'm super nana. ;):D

I don’t think it’s your Christmas prowess that makes you super nana!!

I have fourteen kids to get gifts for, so a few years ago I just started making them. That way I don't have to worry about spending so much and keeping it fair. Most of the time, I get lucky and they absolutely love what I made...most of the time lol. The only toys I get are the "Santa" ones for my two.

I like that people are creative and make their own gifts. That's very thoughtful.

My way is to think about what has happened in their lives during the year, and watch/listen to their stories and wants/needs. I enjoy surprising people with unexpected gifts they would never have seen coming. It takes a creative mind to find them, and I am lucky to be good at creative present "finding."

Lucky you, lol :D I have 10 to buy for and my own kids. I buy one big gift and pick out a bunch of smaller ones throughout the year and everyone has lots to unwrap under the tree. It'll be my youngest's first time getting to decorate the tree with us. I love watching their faces when the tree is turned on. It's like 4th of July amazement in their eyes.

With the kids, I tend to base it towards what they're into that year... minecraft, my little pony, or whatever.

I try to do that with my two. They each get a big one and then some more smaller ones. They always get one to open on Christmas Eve that has pjs, a movie and a new bedtime story.

I'm annoyed.
Perpetually.

Did some volunteer work today to give back and just "get out of my head" for awhile, but the relief was fleeting.

I'm having a great year otherwise. It's super tough to move forward when your brain refuses to "un-see" or "un-hear" things we don't generally acknowledge.

So, I'm annoyed.. but also blessed. I'll continue to tell myself there are reasons beyond my control, forces at work that go unchecked, that my experiences have made me who I am, so they can't be all bad, right?

Right???!??

Very quiet, I know the sheep are herding

Have fun herding in the background, my ass going to sleep.

Can’t wait to be home alone so I can strip off and try to stay cool in this heatwave!

Morning,

To all you plotting behind the scenes, strategic, calculating mfers. I'll be waiting with a smile for all of you
