What Are You Thinking? Continued 2

I’m thinking that it’s annoying the guy in the hotel room woke me up while he ordered room service and now I’m awake....

I’m thinking about someone - a memory of them made me smile. Now I’m a little sad. Definitely going to get some packing done today!

I find people’s attitudes a little curious lol.

It’s just been discovered that I’m not getting the same pay as the others in my new role. The others are getting almost £1000 more annually than I am, and yet we are doing the same job.

People are angry on my behalf.

But although I’m confused as to why I’m not getting the same, I’m not up in arms about it. I don’t live beyond my means, and wouldn’t know what to do with a pay rise, and I think the fact that I’ve been given a better work-life balance, a more active role that is helping both my physical and mental health is priceless. I’ve never been motivated by money, and that hasn’t changed now.

Now that I’m no longer in the role that was depressing me, I’m through the recent cancer scare, and started the medical treatment that’s been worrying me, I feel like several weights have been lifted. And all things considered, £1000 for that is pretty cheap, if you ask me! :cattail:

That's a very refreshing attitude to see. Many times when someone gets a promotion to a new job, they often get a lower initial salary for the first year. Then, after "proving themselves," they get a nice bump in pay to even the field.

So, start figuring out what to do with the extra money. It's surely coming your way....

I'm thinking about a career change. I don't know what I might be interested in. I've been self employed for years, and I'd like to keep it that way, because I tend to have problems with bosses telling me what I should be doing.

Fuck cancer. Seriously. The people that deserve this shit <cough William Barr cough> never get it while perfectly decent humans do.

Life simply is unfair. Whichever you cut it. It is shit and unfair.

I was one of two who started the same day, and he’s getting the higher pay. Though I did insist on a trial period, so that could be why mine stayed lower! I have the opportunity to reduce my hours by one day in a few months, so I may do that if I do start getting the higher pay! Time is precious, money is not. ;)
