Nobody should have to feel obliged to chat to somebody they don’t feel safe around.

When I first came here, there was the usual rush of people in my inbox and I was polite and respond to everybody. I don’t like to offend people so I would chat about general daily stuff. The “nice guys” were the worst. I could be chatting about my day and before I knew it, they had turned the conversation into giving me a massage or bathing me. They back you into a corner where you do feel threatened. I would use humour to deflect the situation and the conversation would end.

If I said that I wasn’t interested in that kind of chat and it made me uncomfortable, they would say they were only joking but they would do the same thing the next time we chatted.

That’s why I’m upfront about the fact that I just want to get you naked and leave you wet.

I think this one has historically (or at least since it was started) been the more common one. Don’t know where the other came from.
