I just realized that I made a huge error in my checkbook registry, and have to go back and redo 2 months worth of entries and balances.

Fuck!

Anyone else do something stupid lately? :D

I put my undies on backwards, does that count? LMAO. :D

Huh? I haven't entered anything in my checkbook registry in like two years. Bank online, baby.

A little while ago , I decided to go over to my mom's house and just see how she was doing - I am trying to avoid studying hence my sudden urge to see my mother. :D

Anyways I let myself into the house & I got some thing to drink. Well as I am finishing my drink , I noticed that her canaries needed some water. So I decide not only to change their water but also decided I would clean their little cage.
I go outside and as I am cleaning the cage .. some how one of the canaries flew out. I almost had a heart attack .. I run after the little bird and it flew 3 times before I got to catch him.

If he had flown away ... I don't know how I would have explained to my mom - she loves those birds.

So that was my " stupid " of the day. :)

Lol!

I can just picture you running after that bird chasing it down :)

Why do you have to redo the entries? I just add a line "Balance Correction" with the correct balance once I've determined if it was my error or the bank's.

Speaking of banking errors -- I recently paid a $28 overdraft fee because I swiped my ATM/Check card instead of my credit card at a store. I was surprised to find that since my ATM/Check card was upgraded to a "gold" card, that it won't reject the transaction if there aren't sufficient funds.

When I got home, I logged the transaction in Quicken against my credit card and blithely wenton with life until Igot the overdraft notice in the mail -- It's a good thing I didn't try to use the ATM/Check card on purpose in the meantime.

Yep, did up a statment the other day and forgot to add the freight cost of $400 onto it for the customer to pay. I realised yesterday just before I sent the order thank goodness....

This week,I accidently forgot to send in the money for my littlest ones field trip.

She was not amused.

Hey...I just did the same thing with one of my business accounts. I'm suddenly $3000 lighter than I was 24 hours ago. lol

Sucks, doesn't it?

Call the bank and politely ask them to reverse the charge, explaining what your error was. If you don't do this often, they will fix it for you. Once or twice I've had problems with transfers between accounts getting screwed up. Usually my error, doing something similar to what you did grabbing the wrong card. But if you're a good customer and you explain, you can get the charge reversed.

From now on ... I will no longer be cleaning their cage.
I think its safer that way... :)
