The weather here has been crazy today. Thunderstorms and tornadoes. I just watched one side of the house have blue skies while the other was dark and foreboding. Then the rainbow appeared. It became a double rainbow and then a little later in the same exact place....watch the video, it was really neat!

My cousin talking as she goes back inside in the first part of the vid.... the video does not do the clouds and lightning justice!

OMG! Double Rainbow! :) Cool pic and video.
Blow some of that crazy weather over California way. We could sure use it.

Hot and dry here in N.E. though we do have a tropical storm off the coast!

I would love to!! Well, not really, I like storms a lot. I chased a tornado with my daughter once. I was driving she took a picture!

I watched one come in off the coast of Jersey once, not a REALLY bad one or anything, but it was a truly magnificent site to behold!

This one came off NJ and moved away causing nary a ripple. All the surfers were disappointed.

Thank you! I am uploading another, after dark video to photobucket...I sure hope others will share pictures of weather!

So you find any good stuff in the trash lately?

lol in our clean outs? I am always finding good stuff. Today I brought home three large boxes of digital camera magazines...sounds like not much, but I buy these magazines...they average 15 - 30 bucks a pop!

I lived with hurricanes and Nor' Easters all of my life.
Steady light rain, or steady down pours, for days on end.
Storm drama, on rare occasions. Not a regular thing.
Sure, the ocean gets driven by some strong winds.
Jumping up into the air, and getting held up and pushed is amusing.
People do surf.

We have had subtle rainbows, from those.
Grey is a familiar color to someone from New England.
Spectacular and gaudy, is not.

I would love to skip the micro cells, down bursts, and straight line winds.
But, these touring systems and tornadoes are becoming regular visitors to our coast.
They leave the sky looking like the weather gave it a brutal beating.
The rainbows that result, are not reassuring.

When a person turns green, that means they are not well.
I saw my first green sky, recently, and I was alarmed.

It is new, unfamiliar, and disturbing to me.

June 23rd/ June 24th was a nightmare.
Cells popping up, all over the place, like popcorn.
Water spouts, and a tornado.
Ab- fucking- normal.

A thousand lightning strikes, within an hour! Here!
(recently)
What is normal for NE ? A few strikes, a the start of a storm.

Sadly, I do not forsee it returning to normal.

I know what you mean. I buy a sailing magazine that has no advertising $$$. Found some one on CL who was selling three years worth for $30. You specialize in cleanouts?

The weather is changing everywhere I think! Our winters are not what they used to be...

I remember my first green sky and it is an eerie feeling to say the least. I noticed the sky then the trees on one side of the road were bent in half and the other side calm as can be. My first tornado.

Mostly clean outs, we also do landscaping / lawn care. Tomorrow will start with a trip to an eviction so we will be meeting the police at a house and re~keying it. The police have to clear the house to make sure it is safe. We have to break them in lol. If we do not do it in ten minutes or less they break the door down. These guys mean business. It is just this one county that takes it so seriously. The last one we did my boss went in through the window because the former owner / tenant nailed doors shut! The police should have went in but I dont think they would have fit through the window!

I have not seen the green sky,
but I have seen green seas.
Tornado, not yet to see.

Scary?
Be safe!

I just took my dog out, I was excited to see what the skies would be doing now.... I looked up and saw................ STARS. storms all around us and we have clear skies here.

We have bridge syndrome.

One side of the bridge is having a lovely, temperate, sunny day.
The other side of the bridge is having a stormy down pour.

88 F with the humidity to also match it. Gotta love living on an island off Montreal.
Our camper is actually cooler. I may sleep there tomorrow night.

This happened here all day....all around storms. Here.. a little drizzle.

58°F and 18 mph.

That is more like what I was used to this summer..it had been quite chilly!

Get you one of these. They really help you plan your day. Great meteorology tool.

LOL I had a feeling of what that would be before I clicked!
