CH is online and can probably answer better than I. But the Wahabi are an ultra-conservative sub-sect of Islam. Most members originate in Saudi Arabia.

If you thought the Iranians were bad, you ain't seen nothing yet. It is this group that caused the death of the Saudi school girls a year ago by refusing to unlock the gates of the school so they could escape a fire because the girls were not veiled.

They have been slowly expanding their influence of the past several years by taking over Mosques throughout the world. Kinda like a fundamentalist Southern Baptist infiltrating a Luthren Church.

This quote means nothing...there has never been since it's inception and never will be a unified Islam to reclaim back. It's all an illusion. Where is the Unified Christians, Bhuddists or Hindu's ect..... Its just a stereo typical view that are all "alike". I found it funny that Saddam claimed for a Jihad...that would be like Bill Clinton calling Christians to fight a crusade....

You may be right SS, but the quote was just made by an Iraqi ex-pat on TV. They, or some of they, do somehow believe that a segment of Islam, the Wahabi, do somehow have some influence upon Islam. I want to know their strengths and weaknesses.

Can we wear them down with 10,000 Mormons singing "I'm a Little Country, I'm a Little Rock and Roll"?
