Yep, I've heard that mosquitos are the state bird!

I know it's because of all the bogs that melt in the spring/summer so there are millions of breeding ponds. Swarms so thick that they're black clouds.

They're dandy for taking the ribs off salmon fillets. I don't think they very good for skinning any normal game. But, maybe they'd be fine for a walrus. They are oversold at the gift stores, but they are kinda cool for chopping up herbs, etc.

I don't have any fancy skinners, but I can take a moose or caribou apart with a Buck folding hunter.

Funny. I actually hate skinning. I bought the Alaska skinner because I decided it looked like the tool I wanted for cleaning fish, and I haven't been disappointed.
