Wanted In More Ways Than One (Closed for raiguy)

Tay quietly asked, "Where does that leave us? I need to know if I can let myself fall in love, or if I need to stay guarded for fear of being crushed again?" he didn't want to sound cold, but when she had left, it had nearly broken him.

Gwyn cries harder when he asked that. She knew that it broke him, but it hurt her too. "Did you ever think about what it did to me Tay? Did you? You know what, never mind, don't answer that." She got out of bed abruptly and started to walkout the room. "For the record iI never stopped loving you," she added as she made it to the door.

Tay shook his head before angrily following Gwyn. "You were the one to run, not me. I was always here, waiting and hoping you'd come back," he said, catching up to her and pinning her against the wall. "For the record, I never stopped loving you either," he said, before kissing her.

Gwyn felt fear flash through her, but melted deeply into his kiss, wrapping her arms around him and pulling him to her, accepting him and trusting him to take care of her tears streaming down her cheeks still.

Tay pulled Gwyn to him, holding her as tightly as her ribs would let him, as he poured his feelings into the kiss. He knew that he wanted to stay with her, but she had to finally trust him and let him fully in.

Gwyn let herself go for the first time in her life, and as she cried, she finally let her walls down and beckoned him into her heart. She trusted him now, completely. "Forgive me, if you can? I'll understand if you don't," she whimpered, softly, like a child.

Tay just kissed her softly again, knowing that was all the answer she would need.

Gwyn returned the kiss with a soft sigh. "Thank you," she whispered. Her body shook as everything she had felt the past 5 years - no, longer,- left her and she felt dizzy. She collapsed into his arms, her eyes fluttering. "Boo?" She whispered her voice timid. Something didn't seem right and she knew that. "I love you."

Tay smiled down at Gwyn. He had missed the pet names, listening to her day she loved him, and the closeness he felt when he was with her. He knew it would take work for this to work, but he wanted it. "Sugar bear, I love you too. Now, tell me what's wrong?" He said softly, supporting her easily.

"I feel dizzy and weak," Gwyn whispered, her heart trilling as he said that he loved her as well. She could feel herself rising in a panic.

Tay nodded before scooping her up in his arms. "You might just be worn out. The emotional highs and lows we just went through rapidly, combined with the fav that you're injured, probably really fatigued you. Lets get you back to bed and eating again," he said softly, carrying her back to the bed.

Tay shook his head. "You need to eat though. You're body needs it," he said, firmly telling her she was going to eat

Tay shrugged, before slowly eating, knowing she was going to do what she did.

Tay chuckled softly, before finishing what he was eating and setting the dishes on the nightstand. He tried not to move, knowing Gwyn was comfortable.

Tay watched Gwyn, feeling her relax in his arms, before her breathing grew deep and steady. He removed the cracker from her hand, before snuggling down next to her and closing his eyes, joining her in sleep.

Gwyn woke up a couple hours later and just rested next to Tay, feeling happy and free for the first time in 5 years. It was going to take a lot of work on her part to make her and Tay work again, but she was willing to do it.

Tay slowly came wake, before yawning and blinking a few times. He looke down at Gwyn, before smiling sleeping. "Hi, beautiful girl," he said, kissing her head softly and yawning again.

Gwyn smiled softly and yawned as well. "Hey you," she said. She stretched and winced. She kept forgetting about her ribs. "Time to change bandages?" She asked.

Tay nodded. "Yeah, we better change them. We gotta keep things fresh and clean so an infection doesn't occur, and to check and see how things are healing," he said, before sitting up and then moving to get more bandages from the bedside table.

Gwyn sat up and began undressing herself, wincing more but wanting to show she was on the mend. Though, truth be told, she liked it when he undressed her. It was sweet and loving. Tender. And she craved that.
