Tay moved to stand behind Gwyn, before kissing her softly. "It's okay babe. We will work through it and get everything back to where you used to be. There's nothing wrong with that, sugar bear," he said, before kissing her neck softly.
Tay shrugged, still holding Gwyn. "I honestly don't know. I didn't ask when we got you patched up, and personally I don't care. I still think you're beautiful, and I love you for you, not for your body," he said softly, trying to reassure her.
Tay shook his head, his heart breaking at how Gwyn felt. He knew there really wasn't anything he could do, so he just held her more tightly, trying to let her know how much he loved her.
Gwyn sniffled, and wrapped her arms around his, holding him tightly to her, closing her eyes on her thin body. Her body shook with unshed tears, but she didn't want to let them out. She didn't want to keep crying, she just wanted to not have to look at how thin she was. Gone were her curves from her teenage years. Gone were the breasts that even when Adrian was beating her he still admired. Gone was the hourglass waist that all her friends were jealous of.
That was all gone, and she saw how the clothes hung off her frame, making her look like a bloodied waif. How much would it take to regain even a portion of her original weight?
Tay wasn't sure what he could do, other than what he was doing now. He gently stroked her hair, before softly, yet firmly, saying, "you're still the gorgeous girl I fell in love with. Anyone who can't see that is an idiot. It's in your eyes, your smile, the energy you still have after what you've been through. Your body will return, but your true beauty has always been inside, expressed through your emotions, babe."
He nearly chuckled as both dogs suddenly bumped up against Gwyn. He knew they were trying to help her as well, and he couldn't have been more proud of them at that moment t.
Gwyn sniffled and opened her eyes. Still holding one of his hands, she knelt down to pet Nash and Cub, a few tears escaping but she focused on holding his hand and the feel of fur underneath her fingers.
Tay could only smile at seeing Gwyn try to push past what she was feeling. He knew that getting back to where she was would take a long road, but he was more than willing to help her with that. And knew he would do everything he old to make sure she got to where she wanted, wherever that ended up.
Nash licked her face and she buried her face into his soft fur, petting him absently. She knew that this was going to be one of the toughest battles she could ever face, but she was willing to do it, she needed to.
Tay let Nash comfort Gwyn, before pulling her close again and kissing the top of her head. "We will make sure it works out and you get to where you want to be. I'll be here, no matter what," he said, before squeezing her and then letting go to roll his shoulders a bit. Once he was comfortable again, he slid back against the head of the bed, pulling Gwyn onto his lap, just snuggling with her.
Tay rocked Gwyn, noticing that Nash didn't mind being held by Gwyn nearly as much as he had when Tay had tried it as a puppy. He sighed, before thinking that maybe Nash and Gwyn just found each other, much like how he and Gwyn had found each other again. He knew everything would work out, but also knew it would be a long road.
